<p>Did you learn something new today? Taking time to develop your knowledge base is an important habit one should work to maintain. I know you’re busy. School, work, family and a million obstacles might actually convince people that they have zero spare time. Is this true? Is there actually no time in your day for a bit of self development?</p>
<p>Most of you will quickly realize that we all have some time after a bit of reflection. Achieving mastery of a topic means you’re going to have a thorough knowledge of the field. Successful people don’t just read about their field, but also about the world around them. In 2016 we have so much information at our fingertips that it’s hard to find an excuse not to learn more.</p>
<p>We can learn the basic or advanced steps to gain many skills completely free online or through books at a library. Here are a few tips and tricks to keep learning while juggling that hectic schedule:</p>

  <li><strong>Schedule 30 minutes a day towards learning something new.</strong> - It might mean waking up a little earlier or going to bed thirty minutes later. Pick up a book or read something new online. Little by little this daily habit can turn into 210 minutes a week, 840 minutes a month, and 10,080 minutes per year!!</li>
  <li><strong>Start downloading podcasts. - </strong>We all have some dead time commuting to work, making something to eat, or getting ready for bed at night. Podcasts are downloadable shows on a broad range of topics that can be listened to on your phone or computer.</li>
  <li><strong>Free classes through a MOOC.</strong> <strong>- </strong>MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Courses and there are many free courses led by professors from world renowned universities like Harvard and MIT. The real beauty about these classes is that you are able to watch lectures and complete assignments at your own pace. Some of the more popular MOOC sites are <a href="https://www.coursera.org/" rel="noopener">Coursera</a> and <a href="https://www.khanacademy.org/" rel="noopener">Khan Academy</a>.</li>
