Don't get me wrong, penguins are cute and adorable animals! However, two things most people are never prepared for when they expire the nesting regions of penguins are - 1) the smell, it is quite distinct and terrible; and 2) the noise. 40,000 penguins make a hell of a lot of noise, it can be hard at times to hear yourself think. *** I must say though, that even though the smell and the noise can be a tad confronting at times...
