The Rockhopper penguin

I am as of right now, as I type this in my cabin on a ship called the M/V Ocean Endeavour as it cruises around the Falkland Islands.  I was lucky enough to get to a few small island groups today that are littered with some amazing bird species.  For example, Rockhopper penguins!

These guys look like they have some series attitude, as you wonder around their nesting colony. The Island we were on when we experienced these adorable little guys and their bright red eyes, which really give them an edgey look was West Point Island. Their nesting colony is also shared by another bird species - the Black-browed Albatross, which by far have always been my favourite albatross and today they are definitely my favourite albatross species of all time!
