Stephen Fry whose character, Deitrich, was black bagged in the dystopic film **'V for Vendetta'** has now been red-flagged, defamed, and un-personed in the minds of twitter twats and on the media. All of this, for simply flashing the A-OK hand gesture.

That’s right–we’re now entering this phase in time where past works of fiction are becoming enmeshed in modern-day clown world, the upside down, or whatever you’d like to call it.

I remember watching the flick, and this was all the way back in 2006 on its release when it dominated the box office worldwide. The film was inspirational, and it really spoke to my spirit as many works of fiction do.

Stephen and Deitrich appear to have similar qualities that both the actor and character share, so I’m guessing as far as acting goes, it wasn’t too much of a stretch to play the role.

So we have life imitating art in the dystopia of censorship that has become ever-present in these dark days of the internet. In addition to that, Stephen is now either imitating the role he played so long ago or simply being his usual and unapologetic self in this strange new world of butthurt and reactions.

Fry's intention for the use of the gesture was in support of Mental health awareness week. However, that didn't stop fringe leftists from immediately presuming that he's either racist or sympathetic to white supremacist ideologies.

On Twitter, In further clarification and instead of apologizing, Stephen made it clear that he wasn't going to stand by and allow the hijacking of the otherwise innocuous gesture. This is the example that everyone should follow, for submitting to the will of the thought controllers will get you nowhere quick, fast, and in a hurry.

yes, he is, but a socialist is a statist is a communist is a globalist.

it's all a matter of degree, but once the road is well and truly taken there is no turning back. 
look at the size and power of the state now. imagine the people trying to oppose it politically or militarily - some have tried but clearly none have succeeded nor ever will.

i tend to view things quite simply politically, the divide is not between 'left' and 'right' but the power of the state and the freedom of the individual. it is confounding that fry, like many old school lefties, would defend to the hilt the latter, whilst also championing taxes, the welfare state, and regulation of businesses which results in megalithic monopolies rather than a fair field of competition leading to growth and innovation.

we should always be open to challenging views and new information - after all, how would we ever learn anything new, from the telescreen?
