# Ethereum hyped on Coinbase Eth-Purchase rumors

As I'm writing this, Ethereum buy orders have soared to 6200+ BTC and growing, up almost 5% than when I checked this morning. The news that Coinbase is finally going to allow Ethereum purchases this month has gotten any crypto trader excited, but even bigger, it was the news Ethereum has been dying for. Coinbase is an Exchange giant for the cryptocommunity, and the fact that it will eventually allow Ethereum purchases shows that the market for Ether is very much alive, *and we're all pumped.* 

Despite everyone still a little rattled from The DAO attack and the pitchfork mob discussions about whether to create a soft fork or hard fork, I am betting this news can pull $ETH out of it's stale behavior. With Steemit blowing up, who knows what kind of influence it'll bring into the crypto community! #### Since finishing this blog, ETH buy orders at 6600+ BTC now, hitting just .0164.
