*The next generation of consoles is already around the corner and both PS5 and Xbox Series X will seek to arrive to represent an important leap forward on a technical level with respect to current consoles. Although the graphic section can undergo significant improvements, as the first images of NBA 2K21 on PS5 have shown, another of the most striking points is the better performance in terms of the rate of images per second.*

*That is why in Areajugones we have wanted to compile a list with all those video games that have confirmed that they can work at 120 fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Among these video games, many will give the option to prioritize having this high rate of images per second or bet on a higher resolution or graphic quality. However, all of them have promised that, in one way or another, they will be able to reach 120 fps in their new generation versions.*

***As you can see, 120 fps will not be something too common within this beginning of generation. This is a very high frame rate and in many cases developers are the first to choose to prioritize resolution or graphic quality. However, taking into account the backward compatibility capabilities of the new consoles, it is possible that some PS4 and Xbox One games will hit 120 fps using backward compatibility.***
