*Libre is a famous song by Nino Bravo. The Valencian recorded it on his album Mi tierra, released in 1972, after having performed it live before. He died in 1973 in a traffic accident, ending his musical career. The authors of the composition are José Luis Armenteros and Pablo Herrero. The most common theory is that the writers drew on the tragic story of Peter Fechter, the first man killed attempting to cross the Berlin Wall.*
