Where I live, the most productive fruit tree is the walnut. The effects of winter last about six months. In such a long winter, growing walnuts is more beneficial for commercial or other purposes. Due to their hard shell, walnuts are not affected by frost. Sometimes, snow falls while the walnuts are still on the tree branch. Thanks to their hard shell, walnuts can weather this adverse weather. The walnut pictured is two years old, and its growth has been limited due to insufficient sunlight.

A one-year-old walnut tree. It's growing quite well. I've been fertilizing it with animal manure and wood ash. The only drawback for this tree is the presence of rocks nearby. As the walnut root grows further, it will encounter rocks, making it impossible to overcome them. There are other areas where the roots can grow.

This is a sapling I dug up three months ago after noticing it had sprouted in an unsuitable location. Because it's exposed to so much sun, it's quickly becoming dehydrated. Walnut trees prefer cooler locations.
