Iniciativa – Eligiendo mis alimentos
## Para todo ser vivo es primordial alimentarse.  El detalle es saber elegir sabiamente los alimentos.

Necesitamos calorías para que nuestro cuerpo pueda funcionar. Sin estas calorías pronto nos sentiríamos fatigados, con bajo peso y posiblemente con problemas de salud.  

El primer alimento que seleccionamos para obtener estas calorías son los carbohidratos como el pan, espaguetis, galletas, etc., muchas veces esos tipos de alimentos se convierten en el centro de nuestra alimentación.  Perfecto, ya tenemos calorías, pero ¿en verdad esos alimentos nos dan los nutrientes que nuestro cuerpo necesita?

De la premisa anterior, escribo este post para participar en la [Iniciativa – ¿Cómo eliges tus alimentos?](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@emiliorios/septimo-dia-bienestar-fisico-segunda-iniciativa-como-eliges-tus-alimentos-esen), propuesta por @emiliorios en la comunidad #Holos&Lotus.   


**¿Cómo elijo mis alimentos para realizar mis platos?**
Hace dos años me encontraron la bacteria helicobacter en mi estómago. Desde ese momento la forma en que me venía alimentando cambió.  Así que elijo mis alimentos pensando lo que es bueno para mi cuerpo y sobre todo lo que mi cuerpo recibe con agrado. He aprendido a escuchar los susurros y a veces hasta gritos que me da.  

En ese sentido la elección de mis alimentos es muy simple: La mayoría de los alimentos que consumo crecen en los árboles. La cantidad de comida es más o menos la siguiente: la mitad del plato debe tener ensalada ya sea cruda o cocida. Un cuarto del plato es de carbohidrato y el otro cuarto de proteína. 

El consumo de vegetales, frutas y verduras es muy importante. Las frutas las consumo a media mañana o a media tarde. No hago jugos, pues prefiero los nutrientes directos de la fruta y consumo un tipo de fruta por día.

En cuanto a los carbohidratos prefiero el arroz, papa cocida, yuca cocida, quinoa, etc., en lugar de harinas procesadas como espaguetis, pan, tortas, etc.    La fuente de proteínas proviene en su mayoría del pollo, pescado y granos. El consumo de carne lo he reducido considerablemente pues mi sistema digestivo, por ahora, es lento en el procesamiento de alimentos pesados. 

**¿Leo las etiquetas, me fijo en el peso y en las cantidades que voy a cocinar según cada comensal; elijo los que menos componentes dañinos tienen?**
No consumo productos enlatados, ni procesados. Mi cuerpo simplemente no los tolera. Y las pocas veces que compro ese tipo de producto me fijo en las etiquetas, pues cualquier producto que indique que tiene azúcar, leche o sus derivados lo descarto. 

**¿Me siento satisfecha con la forma como en estos momentos estoy eligiendo tus platos?**
Estoy totalmente satisfecha. Los alimentos que consumo en su mayoría  no son procesados. Son naturales, tienen poca grasa y azucares. Así que siento que estoy haciendo un buen trabajo. 

Desde mi punto de vista y por lo que me ha ocurrido a nivel de salud, escuchar a nuestro cuerpo es primordial para seleccionar los alimentos. Nuestro cuerpo es sabio y sabe que necesita. No sé si les ha pasado, pero muchas veces mi mente quiere un alimento procesado con mucho azúcar por ejemplo una torta de chocolate, e inmediatamente siento en mi estómago un rechazo total a ese alimento. Cuando eso me pasa, sé que no debo consumir ese antojo.

We need calories for our bodies to function. Without these calories we would soon feel fatigued, underweight and possibly have health problems.  

The first food we select to obtain these calories are carbohydrates such as bread, spaghetti, crackers, etc., many times these types of foods become the center of our diet.  Perfect, we already have calories, but do those foods really give us the nutrients our body needs?

From the above premise, I am writing this post to participate in the [Initiative - How do you choose your food](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@emiliorios/septimo-dia-bienestar-fisico-secunda-initiativa-como-eliges-tus-alimentos-esen), proposed by @emiliorios in the #Holos&Lotus community.   

**How do I choose my foods to make my dishes?**
Two years ago I was found with helicobacter bacteria in my stomach. From that moment on the way I was eating changed.  So I choose my food by thinking about what is good for my body and above all what my body welcomes. I have learned to listen to the whispers and sometimes even screams that it gives me.  

In that sense the choice of my food is very simple: Most of the food I eat grows on trees. The amount of food is more or less as follows: half of the plate should have salad either raw or cooked. One quarter of the plate is carbohydrate and the other quarter is protein. 

The consumption of vegetables, fruits and greens is very important. Fruits are eaten mid-morning or mid-afternoon. I do not juice, as I prefer the direct nutrients from the fruit and I consume one type of fruit per day.

As for carbohydrates I prefer rice, cooked potato, cooked cassava, quinoa, etc., rather than processed flours such as spaghetti, bread, cakes, etc.    The source of protein comes mostly from chicken, fish and grains. Meat consumption I have reduced considerably as my digestive system, for now, is slow in processing heavy foods. 

**I read the labels, I pay attention to the weight and the quantities I am going to cook according to each diner; I choose the ones that have the least harmful components?**
I don't eat canned or processed products. My body simply does not tolerate them. And the few times I buy this type of product I look at the labels, because any product that indicates that it has sugar, milk or its derivatives I discard it. 

**Am I satisfied with the way I'm currently choosing your dishes?**
I am totally satisfied. The foods I eat are mostly unprocessed. They are natural, low in fat and sugars. So I feel I'm doing a good job. 

From my point of view and from what has happened to me on a health level, listening to our body is paramount to select foods. Our body is wise and knows what it needs. I don't know if it has happened to you, but many times my mind wants a processed food with a lot of sugar, for example a chocolate cake, and I immediately feel in my stomach a total rejection to that food. When that happens to me, I know that I should not consume that craving.

Hola @tibaire, el tema de los jugos con azúcar, es algo que aun me cuesta dejar; en mis comidas siempre incluyo jugos y aunque agrego poca azúcar lo ideal según la recomendación del medico sería consumir la fruta, ya que estas contienen los nutrientes que el cuerpo requiere para realizar sus funciones.

Hola @belkyscabrera exactamente es como tú dices. Las frutas es mejor consumirla tal cual es, sin agregar agua o azúcar. Se que es difícil quitar el azúcar, pero lo mejor es dejar de consumirlo paulatinamente. Gracias por tu comentario

Como siempre es grato leerte, esta vez en la iniciativa del amigo @emilirios de bienestar físico en su segunda entrega, al igual que tu, en mi estomago habita la misma bacteria y yo muy poco le paraba a mi alimentación aún después de tener esta información, gracias a un reto aquí en Hive he empezado a implementar ciertos hábitos en mi día a día y aunque aún me faltan muchos elementos, puedo decir que estoy avanzando para esa mejoría,  lo bueno de estas actividades es que aprendemos tips que desconocíamos, yo solo en los productos de alimentación observaba la fecha de vencimiento, no sus ingredientes y por estas lecturas realizadas en esta iniciativa estoy aprendiendo como seleccionar mis alimentos. Amiga linda, gracias por tus palabras. No sabia que también tenias activa la bacteria. Es un tema cuidarnos y hacer que este en estado de reposo. Muy importante no consumir alimentos irritantes, en mi caso, por ejemplo el chocolate, las frituras, las harinas procesadas, los azucares en exceso. No todos los cuerpos son iguales, así que cada persona debe buscar el camino en la sana elección de los alimentos. Gracias @cochanet por tu comentario

Oye no sabía nada de eso que me estas diciendo aquí, realmente no soy amante de las frituras, muy poco las como, el azúcar estoy empezando a reducirlo y ya me pasa como a ti, pareciera que el estomago me hablara y me dijera no quiero eso😅 las harinas también las estoy reduciendo y el chocolate lo reduje a la fuerza😂 por los precios, pero ya no me provoca como antes. Muy buena esta iniciativa para dar a conocer los alimentos que ingerimos. En realidad yo como lo que está a mi alcance. Procurando siempre que la proteína no falte en mi plato, es en lo que más me fijo. Me encantaría poder elegir lo que verdaderamente quiero comer. 🥂

Me agrada mucho la manera que distribuyes la comida en tu plato, las cantidades vista de esa manera es incluso más sencillo. Si el cuerpo nos habla, y sentimos sed, mareos cuando necesitamos algún nutriente. Incluso he escuchado que las ganas de comer tierra, o la atracción a este aroma es que el cuerpo necesita hierro. 

Espero puedas seguir atenta a escuchar a tu cuerpo.
