Cuando leí el post de la iniciativa [Descubrir tus necesidades](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@damarysvibra/iniciativa-descubrir-tus-necesidadesororinitiative-discovering-your-needs), propuesta por @damarysvibra, lo primero que se me vino a la cabeza fue mi clase de psicología de quinto año de bachillerato.  Esa pirámide me hizo la vida de cuadritos buena parte de la materia; en primer lugar pues tuve que aprenderme cada escalón de memoria y en segundo lugar porque tuve que exponerlo. Ahí se me puso la vida “color de hormiga”, pues debía explicarlo; lo bueno es que todo terminó muy bien para mí. Todavía recuerdo con mucho cariño la lámina de re-proyección con la pirámide, en la base un hombrecito casi muriendo y a medida que avanzaba por las escaleras de la pirámide su actitud iba cambiando hasta que finalmente se le veía en un estado de estasis en la cuspide. Ese muñequito definitivamente me resolvió la vida. **Mi grado de satisfacción** La pirámide se me antoja al juego de “escaleras y culebras” donde las escaleras nos permiten avanzar y cuando caemos en el recuadro de la boca de la culebra, retrocedemos. Es decir, la necesidad de alimentación se suple si tengo dinero y para tener dinero requiero un empleo; pero cuando no tengo un empleo mi necesidad retrocede a la base de la pirámide. Ahora bien, la necesidad de respirar está íntimamente asociada a la bendición de seguir con vida. Te imaginas que el oxígeno sea limitado y tenga que gritar “dejen de respirar para que yo lo pueda hacer”, suena un tanto absurdo, ¿verdad? Por cierto, el ejemplo del oxígeno está en un libro de mi autora favorita Louise Hay.  Lo que quiero decir es que, mi grado de satisfacción respecto a la pirámide depende de que tan bien estén cubiertas mis necesidades básicas. Para ser más exacta, en este momento presente, mis necesidades según la pirámide de Maslow están muy bien cubiertas. Aunque podría decir que me hace falta la filiación de pareja, sin embargo, el amor de mi vida soy yo, así que estoy bien. **Necesidad no satisfecha** Quiero viajar! … ahora pensemos por un momento ¿es una necesidad del ego?, la respuesta podría ser sí. Sin embargo, la necesidad de viajar está asociada a un deseo de conocer, de experimentar, de disfrutar y descansar, no para gritar a los cuatro vientos que estoy de viaje y mostrar fotos a todo el mundo … aunque la verdad si lo haría, en la comunidad de #pinmapple lo publicaría. Volviendo al punto, viajar está asociada a la necesidad de descanso, ubicada en la base de la pirámide, y también de éxito en el escalafón de reconocimiento y de espontaneidad, necesidad ubicada en la cúspide de la pirámide. Pues bien, he descubierto que el deseo de viajar si es una necesidad contemplada en la pirámide de mi amigo Maslow que ahora justifica mi deseo. **Manos a la obra** Entonces que necesito para viajar. Primero que nada tener dinero, buen punto. Comencemos a ahorrar. Por otra parte necesito el documento que me permita salir del país: tengo el Pasaporte vencido… otra vez el color de hormiga volvió a aparecer.  Entonces cuales serían mis acciones: primero que nada reunir los USD $ 200 que cuesta el pasaporte. Una vez tenga este punto checado voy a ahorrar dinero y por ultimo me voy de viaje. Qué a que país, eso todavía no lo tengo claro, puede ser Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Brasil o Turquía… en todos tengo amigos que me pueden recibir jajajaja voy a visitar a amigos. That pyramid made my life miserable for a good part of the subject; firstly because I had to learn each step by heart and secondly because I had to expose it. That made my life "colorful", because I had to explain it; the good thing is that everything ended very well for me. I still remember with great affection the re-projection slide with the pyramid, at the base a little man almost dying and as he advanced through the stairs of the pyramid his attitude was changing until finally he was seen in a state of stasis at the top. That little doll definitely solved my life. **My degree of satisfaction** The pyramid resembles a game of "stairs and snakes" where the stairs allow us to advance and when we fall into the snake's mouth, we go backwards. In other words, the need for food is supplied if I have money and to have money I need a job; but when I don't have a job my need goes back to the bottom of the pyramid. Now, the need to breathe is intimately associated with the blessing of staying alive. Can you imagine if oxygen is limited and I have to scream "stop breathing so I can do it", sounds a bit absurd, doesn't it? By the way, the oxygen example is in a book by my favorite author Louise Hay.  What I mean is, my degree of satisfaction with respect to the pyramid depends on how well my basic needs are met. To be more exact, at this present moment, my needs according to Maslow's pyramid are very well covered. Although I could say that I am lacking in partner affiliation, however, the love of my life is me, so I am fine. **Unmet need** I want to travel ... now let's think for a moment, is this an ego need, the answer could be yes. However, the need to travel is associated with a desire to know, to experience, to enjoy and rest, not to shout to the four winds that I am traveling and show photos to everyone ... although the truth if I would do it, in the #pinmapple community I would publish it. Back to the point, traveling is associated with the need for rest, located at the base of the pyramid, and also for success on the ladder of recognition and spontaneity, a need located at the top of the pyramid. Well, I have discovered that the desire to travel is a need contemplated in my friend Maslow's pyramid, which now justifies my desire. **Let's get to work** So what do I need to travel. First of all to have money, good point. Let's start saving. On the other hand I need the document that will allow me to leave the country: I have an expired passport... again the color of the ant appeared again.  So what would be my actions: first of all to collect the USD $ 200 that the passport costs. Once I have this point checked I will save money and finally I will go on a trip. Hola @tibaire te leo y sonrió por muchas razones, yo también me aprendí a Maslow escalón por escalón y no lo comprendí 😃😃. Aún recuerdo la aseveración de mi profesor que decía: nadie puede llegar a la quinta sin cubrir todas las demás. Con el tiempo, estudio y experiencia comprendí que es un entretejido y que vamos saltando de satisfacción en satisfacción aún cuando hayan necesidades no cubiertas. Tu ejemplo del viajar me encantó y espero que cubras los requerimientos pronto y cumplas ese gran deseo 🤗. Saluditos y gracias por unirte a la iniciativa.
