Für die anderen Posts der Reise schaut gerne auf meinem Profil nach. **Klickt also gern auf "Follow" wenn euch dieser Artikel gefällt und ihr euch für unsere weiteren Abenteuer interessiert.** </div> </div> ---  <div class="pull-left"> <div class="text-justify"> Great beaches, waterfalls, little tourism, a good starting point for excursions to the Gili Islands, and not too far from the Rinjani volcano - the place Senggigi on Lombok offers all this and more, which is the reason why we traveled there for our Lombok trip. Unfortunately, the earthquake in 2018 thwarted our plans. The earthquake damaged a lot and the hikes on the Rinjani were banned/made impossible by countless landslides and the destruction of infrastructure in the surrounding region. Since our hotel Qunci Villas has assured us that everything is still in place and remains undamaged and that they would be very happy about our visit, we traveled to Senggigi. </div> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <div class="text-justify"> Tolle Strände, Wasserfälle, wenig Tourismus, eine gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge zu den Gili Inseln und nicht zu weit vom Vulkan Rinjani entfernt - all das bietet der Ort Senggigi auf Lombok und ist der Grund, weshalb wir dorthin gereist sind. Leider hat uns das Erdbeben 2018 einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Durch das Erdbeben wurde sehr viel beschädigt und die Wanderungen auf den Rinjani wurden durch zahllose Erdrutsche verboten / unmöglich gemacht. Da uns unser Hotel Qunci Villas versichert hat, dass bei ihnen noch alles steht und sie sich sehr über unseren Besuch freuen würden, sind wir trotzdem nach Senggigi gereist. </div> </div> ---        --- <div class="pull-left"> <div class="text-justify"> The hotel is an absolute dream. A very well-kept complex right on the beach with three infinity pools, restaurants, picturesque sunsets, and a massage salon. So everything you need to relax. And that's exactly what we did there for the last few days of our trip to Indonesia as barely anything else was possible. </div> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <div class="text-justify"> Das Hotel ist ein absoluter Traum. Eine sehr gepflegte Anlage direkt am Strand mit drei Infinity-Pools, Restaurants, malerischen Sonnenuntergängen und einem Massage-Salon. Also alles was man braucht, um zu entspannen. Und genau das haben wir die letzten Tage unserer Indonesienreise dort auch gemacht. </div> </div> ---    --- <div class="pull-left"> <div class="text-justify"> One day we rented a scooter to explore the area. Due to the earthquake, however, everything was deserted, roads were partially closed, a lot was broken or closed due to the lack of tourists. It seemed as if our hotel was the only one that survived the earthquake unscathed. We were advised not to go on a trip to the Gilis, as the earthquake raged there too. And hiking or driving longer along the roads was also not advised. </div> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <div class="text-justify"> Einen Tag haben wir uns einen Roller gemietet, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Aufgrund des Erdbebens war allerdings alles wie ausgestorben, Straßen teilweise gesperrt, vieles kaputt oder aufgrund der fehlenden Touristen geschlossen. Es schien, als ist unser Hotel das einzige, das das Erdbeben unbeschadet überstanden hat. Von einem Ausflug zu den Gilis wurde uns abgeraten, da das Erdbeben auch dort stark gewütet hat. </div> </div> ---    --- <div class="pull-left"> <div class="text-justify"> So it was time for us to put our feet up, splash around in the water and enjoy the view. </div> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <div class="text-justify"> Also hieß es für uns nun Beine hochlegen, im Wasser planschen und den Ausblick genießen. </div> </div> ---      --- <div class="pull-left"> <div class="text-justify"> And of course, enjoy the incredibly delicious food too. We must have put on every kg of weight we had previously lost during the trip because it was just too good😅 Even the birds could not get enough 😉 </div> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <div class="text-justify"> Und natürlich auch das unglaublich leckere Essen genießen. Wir haben dort bestimmt alles was wir vorher abgenommen hatten wieder zugenommen😅 Sogar die Vögel bekamen nicht genug😉 </div> </div> ---         --- <div class="pull-left"> <div class="text-justify"> And our sunsets were simply out of this world in their beauty. So it was different than planned, but still absolutely recommendable. </div> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <div class="text-justify"> Und die Sonnenuntergänge waren wie nicht von dieser Welt. Es war somit anders als geplant, aber trotzdem absolut empfehlenswert. </div> </div> ---   --- <div class="pull-left"> <div class="text-justify"> We enjoyed our trip through Indonesia and can honestly say that the country surprised us with its diversity. We will come back one day with our kids. This time then hopefully without any earthquakes and with a viable hike on the Rinjani as well as a short trip to the Gillies. I totally agree with that! It has mountains, Vulcanos, great divingspots, diffenent cultures and some islands seem to be a completely different country. It might take over a year to explore it all!
