Sharon is so restless on that seat, several thoughts running through her mind. Should she run away? Should she just commit suicide, or she should face her fears? The latter will be too humiliating. She is sweating profusely, the coolness of the 2.0HP air conditioner notwithstanding. The receptionist, wondering what was happening to her, however decided to keep quiet and mind her business. She tries calling Jide again, but got the same response “The number is not reachable”.

It was a long wait, but finally, the receptionists’ phone rings. After the call, she says “Miss Sharon, the GM will see you now”. Her heart must have skipped a beat or two. She struggles with the door to the office before it finally opens. She steps in and is asked to take a seat. She did. The GM is still trying to round up the paper work he is doing and that makes Sharon even more uneasy.

Is this one of Jide’s expensive jokes, or are they in trouble?

“Sharon!!! Are you okay?” The GM had called her twice when she was lost in thought. Why are you sweating so much? I think you should see a doctor. By the way, the management has chosen you to go on a 3-month training in Switzerland. Get your documents ready, you leave in two weeks. Congratulations…
