How to Install GitVersion on Mac OS X

GitVersion is a tool to help you achieve Semantic Versioning on your project and works well with [GitFlow](/git/@tomas-petrauskas/how-to-install-git-flow-on-a-mac-os-x) Branching Workflow model.

### Download
Download the latest [GitVersion Release](https://github.com/GitTools/GitVersion/releases).

### Install
- **Extract** and **Copy** it to **Applications** folder.
- Create a Symbolic Link
`sudo ln -s  "/Applications/GitVersion" /usr/local/bin/GitVersion`

### Use
Enter `GitVersion` in Git repository to test [GitVersion](https://gitversion.net/docs/) tool.
