Rompe mayo y Natura su mutismo
con destellos y verdes infinitos,
con cantos misteriosos y con mitos
que son de la llanura simbolismo.

El suelo calcinado es un abismo
con los brazos abiertos a los ritos
cortante y puntiagudo como gritos
clamando de la lluvia su bautismo,

todo brilla de luz, ninguna sombra
empaña el manantial de su reflejo,
y en ese palpitar que nos asombra

al impulso del dios Naturaleza
el estero se trueca en un espejo
donde el cielo contempla su belleza.
