# Creating Super Intelligence Part 1

### Swarm intelligence + steemit financial research community = Super intelligence 


For well over a century, researchers in the field of Collective Intelligence have shown that groups can outperform individuals when making decisions. There’s an old saying that two heads are better than one. We wonder how smart 10 heads, 100 or 1000 could be. We will be establishing a new community on steemit.com which will be empowering users to amplify their collective intelligence. ## What is Swarm Intelligence?

A  honeybee lacks the intellectual capacity to consider a problem like selecting a new home site for a colony but swarms of bees solve that multi-faceted problem and find optimal solutions.  If we can mimic the behavior of swarms, we expect to be able to achieve similar increases in intellect and solving problems that individuals can’t even replicate.  

Swarm intelligence is the way that nature has evolved to tap into the knowledge, intuition, experiences, and instincts of a group. The Swarm produces better answers/decisions than could be produced by any single individual.  Swarming amplifies the intelligence of the species, resulting in “super-organisms” which are able to  solve problems which are beyond the capacity of the individual members.

Swarms don’t get mired in stagnation and indecision.  They pool their diverse knowledge efficiently and reach an optimized decision. Studies have shown that swarming allows groups to make predictions and craft estimates that are more accurate than those achieved by polls, votes, surveys, and traditional forms of group decision making.
