Today, I want to talk to you about three activities that I do on weekends that more than a routine, have become a way to enjoy, spend moments with people I love and recharge energy, to face the challenges of life in a better way.

**The barbecue**

One of the things I inherited from my mom was the love of cooking and, the truth is that I like to cook and, according to my wife, my siblings and people who have tried my food, I am good at cooking.

Well, Saturday dinner at home has barbecue as its main course. It doesn't matter if it's chicken, pork, fish, or other meat. It's a habit we have that my wife and I enjoy to the fullest.

Sometimes other people participate, but the barbecue is an intimate, reserved and romantic space that my wife and I enjoy to the fullest.

**Music at the disco temba**

For those who are not Cubans, they may not know what a temba is. I'll tell you quickly. This is a word that refers to people who are over 50 years old and popular mischief used this term to refer to those who, like me, are very close to 60 and beyond 50.

For this reason, a nightclub is like a discotheque, but for people of that age who are going to listen to the music they like, mainly, the music that we enjoyed so much in our youth and that in many cases coincides with the decade of prodigious music. 

In this place we dance, listen to the songs with which we fall in love, enjoy or dedicate to a friend or a future girlfriend. We can also enjoy a drink, eat something or do other types of activities.

**The family party**

Twice a month we carry out this type of activity. I must tell you that it does not have a fixed day, within the weekend, but, we usually do it twice a month.

*What do we celebrate this holiday season?*

Although there should be no reason to share with the people you love, the family party is a space to maintain the unity of the family, exchange about our life projects or demonstrate the importance of each of them in our lives.

But, we celebrate birthdays, wedding anniversaries, completed projects, achievement in sports or school for the youngest and much more.

Once, my wife's youngest son told us something that we all loved and it was the origin of this family party. To a question from his mother about why we should celebrate the event, he replied that we celebrated because we were alive.
