Our guest Karl
![IMG_0639.jpeg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmRHXA9T1Dp4Hdmxz5kENJ5Vdq7EfhfMxNcLXih9DcNECw/IMG_0639.jpeg)

The crow Karl continues to visit us. Actually, we agreed with his owner that the bird would be with us until August 11. Karl's problem is that he doesn't fly. It's this year's chic. I don't know why it was taken from nature, but the problem is that then everything went wrong. The cage in which the bird lived probably played a role.

As a result, Karl has a damaged plumage and bad wings. Fortunately, he has no signs of rickets. This means that the problem can be solved, but it will take time. Maybe a few months.

Already when Karl came to us, I realised that the people who brought the bird were not too willing to get it back. To some extent, they can be understood. A crow in an apartment is quite difficult. Besides, it's bad for the bird itself.

Fortunately, my big aviary is now free and I was able to leave the bird to live there. It has a lot of movement and can train wings. It's not difficult for me, because it's much easier to keep a crow in an aviary than in a cage in an apartment.

However, I do not lose hope that it will start flying. I deliberately limited our communication with him and do not teach him to hand, so that he can return to the wild. If it doesn't work out, the enclosure is big enough for him to live there comfortably.
