Hard to believe we're at the last Power Up Day for 2022! I know I say it all the time, but this month flew by especially fast for me. At the same time though, I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the first, because I'm in position to make my biggest power up ever for this final month, which will also bring me very close (but not close enough, dang it! 😂) to crossing the threshold for Orca. I've set a goal to be able to make it the rest of the way to welcome in the new year and I'd love to be able to hear other people's goals so we can all celebrate together on January first - so, shout out in the comment section with your Power Up Day goals for next month and let's fucking go! 🎉🥂✨

 

Now to the business at hand. While technically in my little corner of the world there's still just about 3 hours left of November (I'm posting this a bit after 9pm EST), #HivePUD for December 1st 2022 has already arrived in other parts of the world. <h2>HivePUD TL;DR</h2> 

- If you want to qualify for the AMAZING Hive Power Up Day badge(s), your power up must happen during the 24 hours of December 1st 2022 according [to UTC time](https://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/).

**and/or**

- If you want to qualify for the #HivePUD prize pool, your power up and post must happen (according to criteria listed below) during the hours of December 1st 2022, your local time.

<h2>AND PLEASE NOTE:</h2> I did some tweaking of the 4 traditional HivePUD posts [a year ago last month](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@traciyork/announcement-post-updated-hive-power-up-day-july-1st-2021), and back in April 2022 I decided to tweak a bit more by combining the usual first two posts (Announcement & Welcome to HivePUD) into this one that I publish around the first few hours of the start of the first each month. In addition, I'll do some extra signal boosting of the "HivePUD is coming" posts done by others instead, as it seems like it will be the best way to spread the word. 😊

And in July 2022, I decided to tweak the rules a bit, for the first time in forever - be sure to check them out below.

Oh and in October, because of the continuing (and awesome) uptick in participation, I tweaked [the timeline of the Power Up Day results](https://peakd.com/hive-122221/@traciyork/important-announcement-about-hivepud-hive-power-up-day) to give me a couple extra days to put things together after my numbers guy sends me the raw data.

<h2>What is HivePUD?</h2>
 
Hive Power Up Day happens on the first of every month. Those who are able to, take this time to power up some Hive, and/or cancel their power downs and pause trading/selling for the 24 hour span of the day.

<h2>What are the rules to win prizes for HivePUD? </h2><center><h4><div class="phishy">UPDATED As of July 2022</div></h4></center>

The requirements are:

1. Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70 and **your account must be in good standing with the community.**
1. Your total HIVE Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
1. You must power up at least 10 Hive on December 1st **(and must NOT be powering down).**
1. You must write a post about your power up on December 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Hispanic) as one of your first 5 tags (tagging only in the body of the post doesn't count).



&nbsp;
To be included in the winners list, **you must meet all four requirements above**. The order of the list (first place, second place, and so on) will be determined by the biggest PERCENTAGE of Hive powered up, not necessarily the most Hive powered up. 

And to make it clear what's changed about the rules, I've **bolded** the two bits in rules #1 and #3. I think it's pretty self-explanatory why I've added those in, but please feel free to shout out if you any questions about it.

<h2>How to get HiveBuzz badges</h2>
