The Hawaiian islands are a place of great POWER and CONTRADICTION. It's a CROSSROAD of the COSMIC FORCES of CREATION and DESTRUCTION. From active volcanic lava flows GLIDING into the sea and creating NEW EARTH, to the EXPLOSIONS of MASSIVE WAVES against JAGGED MASSES of rock from the SAME volcanoes. The year I spent living in Hawaii SHOWED me through ACTION the divine power of nature, and RAW nature of things. From the various ECLECTIC types of PEOPLE who inhabit the place to the SAVAGE forces of nature which PERPETUALLY SHAPE it, Hawaii is a place which possesses STRONG spiritual POWER. Whenever I am experiencing DIFFICULT times in my life I REFLECT on that DANCE within nature by which THINGS are CREATED out of the DESTRUCTION of other things in the ENDLESS CYCLE of which we are merely a SMALL PART. The METAPHOR of waves arising and falling translates DIRECTLY to the metaphor of LIFE EXPERIENCE in which all things arise and fall as part of GRANDER CYCLES of activity which occurs in LAYERS which are SUPERIMPOSED upon LAYERS. Hawaii is one of those places which can be TOO INTENSE for many people, but for those who can WITHSTAND the powerful forces there - and HARNESS them to catalyze TRANSFORMATION - it can be a place which brings about PROFOUND personal growth.
