Why does some post with upvotes not generating any value?

Those with steem power would vote for each other account that has high steem power. Seldom on those post with less steem power as they do not make much money. #steemit

@trigonice29 you need to invest money to buy steem power. Else you would never see good revenue on Steemit since Steemit depends heavily upon Steem power to determine the earning potential of each post. 

Example, if I post a simple message saying hi world and a user with high steem power could just upvote me and I would be making $100+ a post. As compared to many votes, you should target users with high steem power. That are the ones that will make you money.

That being said, I would never put in real money as this whole setup looks like MLM marketing to me as you need to invest into steem power before you can see decent income.

I see but unfortunately I can't invest money for steem power right now. Steem power increases as I post or give comments. I think I should invest my time instead. By the way thank you for educating me with this.
