This Time is Gonna Be Different... A Common Excuse for Common Tasks

Following with a previous motivation post I made, I wanted to shed some light on a commonly known mechanism in our brains - the easy way out.

Our brains wish to take the path of least resistance... It's efficient... For survival at least. It's not efficient for our bodies to be continually pushing into resistance.

Pushing into resistance causes us to use more energy and thus, eat more food which is inefficient to surviving. 

But in a modern world where food, water, shelter, and all of our basic needs are covered with ease, resistance should be saught after.

I feel as though there is a definite lack of resistance in the world today. We see a lot of people who are "soft" and who are easily defeated by small tasks that shouldn't require a ton of stress and effort to accomplish... 

I implore you to take on some challenges and push the boundaries of what you are comfortable with!

If you take on challenges and face them head on, then you can strengthen your resolve. You can go from being one who stresses on the menial tasks of life to one who conquers them and even focuses on grander problems.

One who is truly present and joyful and grateful for the life that has been bestowed upon them.

Those who are not afraid to stand out and be uncommon eventually achieve their goals.

Finding the time to write is something that has been a challenge in the past. Now by committing to enjoying the process rather than looking at it as a task I have been able to commit and write roughly every week to two weeks which was the target.

I agree with a lot of things in this.

One addition I would like to make is food quality. While food is readily available in huge amounts for everyone, most of it has next to no nutritional value. This of course affects human performance and willingness even further, making us even more sluggish and unwilling.

For me distraction is our common excuse, get carried away by small occurrence which delays the task and sometimes we forget the task being distracted by irrelevants.
