Columns fans will love this one. CPC Jewels is a homage to the classic Sega game of 1990. Being their answer to losing out on the mega hit, Tetris, Sega released Columns in arcades, then their home console the Sega Genesis, in 1990. CPC Jewels has all the classic gameplay you expect to find in this style puzzle game.

<h2>Very Non-Tetris puzzle action</h2>

Columns is squarely in the “falling block” genre, which Tetris holds the #1 spot with an iron grip. CPC Jewels adds more of a science fiction/industrial edge to the graphics of Columns. There is also background art in the well you are playing in.

The jewels dropping are almost exactly like the ones Sega went with. I guess that is natural, not like there are a wide variety of precious stones to use here.

Puzzle fans will be right at home with CPC Jewels on the Amstrad CPC computer.

<h2>Releasing the jewels</h2>

The developer has opted to release CPC Jewels in both digital and physical formats. This is rather interesting in a day and age that fans must rely on [petitions to get physical copies of games]( https://www.change.org/p/limited-run-games-physical-copy-of-celeste-for-the-nintendo-switch) made.

Fans that opt for the physical edition can expect a cassette tape, with CPC Jewels labels, custom label with manual insert.

Fans of puzzle games will love CPC Jewels. Collectors wanting a complete collection of games for their Amstrad CPC will want to grab CPC Jewels while it is easy to obtain.
