The life of a blogger or writer is somewhat difficult in the sense that you have a lot planned out to discuss and as you pick up to start, everything vanishes and you are left with a blank page or blank screen. Which can be really frustrating every time.

- What writer’s block is.
- Causes of writer’s block.
- How to get back your inspiration.

# <center>𝔚𝔥𝔞𝔱 𝔦𝔰 𝔚𝔯𝔦𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔅𝔩𝔬𝔠𝔨?</center>
This is a major problem in the life of every yes every writer no matter how good he or she is. There will surely be a time that the writer becomes blocked with nothing to write. Every profession has its own fair share of block.
But in the case of writers, it simply means
Wanting to write and not writing.
This is a persistent problem that every writer deals with, and without being worked on can lead to the end of any writer. This problem is something that I am very familiar with and I try to go round it the best way possible.
## Causes of Writer’s Block
As I said earlier, writer's block is more or less like a road lock. You move slowly until the road is cleared. But to remove these roadblocks, you have to first identify the obstacles.
I myself have been involved in this issue like crazy. If you check my draft, you will see a lot of unfinished work that backdates to late last year. I guess I have started to know how to get rid of the problem with the help of research, I have figured out what works best for me. Below are some causes of writer block.
## Fear 😰

Many writers have issues with being afraid. Afraid of putting their ideas (and themselves) out there for everyone to see and being judged.0
Fear is a major reason some writers never take up writing as a profession.
Just in this community, most are afraid of
- will the community like it?
- what if I get downvoted or muted because it wasn't good enough?
- what if my current curators finds the post unimpressive?
All these and probably more will cause fear which can eventually ruin all the ideas already mapped out.
### Anger

Even though most people get their best works when angry but it doesn't work like that for most of us. If it did, most writers would have had best selling books by now.
So if you are blocked, try to clear your mind from every hate because, as you might know, writing comes from the soul and you just can't feel your work when the soul is clouded. So my dear try off load that anger.
### Out of Fresh Ideas

Most times when a device is down, it doesn't always mean that such device is bad. It could just be out of battery. So being blocked might simply mean that you are out of juice and you just have to refuel by doing some stuffs and get yourself back on track.

All these and more like depression, pressure, end of relationships, wanting to do more, change of genre can or may cause writer's block to most people but remember, the first step to solving a problem is identifying the problem first.

Okay then, now that we have found the problem, we can now look into some solutions.
### Go out and get physical
Being locked up inside won't help you clear your head it will will even worsen everything because you will just be confined with what is within and fresh ideas won't be made available.
Go out, interact, flirt (trust me it works) just do anything to get your mind at ease and you might be in the middle of the fun when fresh ideas will just start rushing in and when it does, don't be carried away by the fun, just get to your notepad and jot down those ideas.
### Write Something or Start Somewhere.
Most times, the issue is not that we don't have ideas but that the ideas are just too much. In this case, all you need to do is figure out where to start and just start writing.
Trust me, things will start coming in place and before you know it, you will be with 3 full pages infront of you.
### Time Out
Time out simply means taking a short break from the screens and refresh the head.
Knowing when to take break to rethink and get yourself back together is very needed but remember not to get get lost in all these.
### Balance
This is needed in everyone's life.
When to continue and
When to pause
Don't get lost in the screens and also don't get lost with the fun balancing is all that's needed.
### What gives you pleasure
Do what you derive pleasure in doing. I myself, while writing this, I got confused for a while and had to get something to keep my mouth moving (food). Most people will prefer to play an instrument just to calm the nerves. I know a guy that drinks to get back his inspiration. So what so ever gives you immense pleasure, do it.

As I was doing research on this topic, I found this helpful and decided to share:
- Go for a walk.
- Do something to get your blood flowing.
- Play. (My personal preference is flirt.)
- Change your environment.
- Read a book. (in the case of hive, explore the community and read others post)
- Listen to music.
- Spend time with someone who makes you feel good.
- Brainstorm ideas in bullet points.
- Read some inspiring quotes to get you started.
