<p><strong>벌써 한달이 거의 다 끝나간다. 이번주부터 학생들이 시험을 치른다. 중학생들이 먼저 시작하고, 다음 주부터는 고등학생들이 시험을 치른다. 그래서 일요일에 직전보강 수업까지 준비를 해두어야 한다. 어제 밤 10시까지 수업자료를 준비했지만 생산은 어렵고 소비는 너무 쉽다. 글 쓰는 것과 비슷한 것 같다. 글을 쓰는 것은 시간과 노력이 많이 드는 일이지만 읽고 소비하는 건 너무 쉬운 것처럼, 난 3시간 이상 투자해서 열심히 만든 문제를 학생들은 불과 1시간 정도만에 뚝딱 해치운다. 그래서 다른 사람들이 만든 자료의 도움을 받을 수 밖에 없는 데, 내신 기간만 되면 그 동안 해보고 싶었던 일을 이번 기회에는 처음으로 제대로 시도해보고 있고, 가능성을 충분히 확인해서 그 자체로도 너무 만족스러운 기간이다. 다만, 남은 일주일 마무리를 잘 해서 좋은 성적으로 연결시킬 수 있도록 하자는 그런 생각을 하게 된다.</strong></p>
<p><strong>대신 그 동안 스팀잇에 소홀해진 것 같다. 이웃들도 새로운 분들이 아주 많은 것 같은데, 웬지 그 전에는 먼저 인사를 건네며 가즈앗을 외쳤건만 이것도 안하다 보니 습관이라 그런지 어색해지려 한다. 그러나 5월은 휴일이 많은 달이라 또 부지런히 일기도 쓰며 내 일도 열심히 하는 한 달이 되지 않을까 기대해 본다. 작년보다 난 올해가 더 재미있고 즐거운 것 같다. 더 여유로운 환경에서 맘에 맞는 사람들이 모여 신나게 일을 하고 있어서 그런지 성과도 더 빠르게 나타나는 것 같고, 앞으로가 더 기대가 되는 것이 사실이다. 그러고 보니 조금 더 지나면 작년에 처음 스팀잇에 가입했던 그 시기가 곧 다가올 것 같다. 꽤 오랜 시간이 지난 것 같지만 아직 1년도 채 지나지 않았다.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p><strong>집에 와서 학원 일을 조금 더 하려 했으나 그냥 쉬기로 했다. 대신 내일 아침 일찍 일어나 출근해야겠다. 수업은 그다지 힘든 수업이 없지만 학생들이 많이 오는 하루라 이것 저것 준비해야 할 일이 많다. 학원강사 일을 하다 보면 1년이 참 빨리 간다. 시험 4번 치르면 1년이 다 가버리는데, 올해는 더 빠르게 시간이 지나는 것 같다. 그리고 지금 내 일에 파묻혀 이렇게 지내는 게 죄스러울 정도로 사회는 급박하게 돌아가는 것 같다. 사회 변화를 그저 바라만 보고 있는 입장인데, 그 속에서 나도 내 역할을 찾아 적극적으로 참여할 날이 언젠가는 오지 않을까 하는 생각을 해본다.</strong></p>
<p><strong>인생은 짧다. 벌써 나도 40년이란 시간을 보내버렸고, 앞으로 열심히 활동하며 살 수 있는 시간이 빠르게 1년씩 소진이 되어가고 있다. 그 시간 동안 체력이 허락하는 한도 내에서 최선을 다해보려 한다. 그래야 열심히 살았다는 위로를 스스로 할 수 있지 않을까 생각해 본다.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p><strong>자야겠다. 내일도 할 일은 많다. 하고 싶은 일도 많고. 오늘 하루 열심히 살았으나 내일 하루는 더 열심히 재미있게 시간을 보내야겠다. 그럼 모두 활기찬 한 주를 보내시라는 의미에서 다음의 구호를 남겨야겠다.</strong></p>
