My wife and me are now on board an airplane heading for Penang. We look forward to meeting some of our family members and also teaching at a leadership seminar in Penang. I assume most of the people inside the airplane know their destination. Supposedly a passenger is being asked about his or her destination, and the answer is, “I don’t know and you need to ask the pilot.” Such an answer is ridiculous. 

Nevertheless, many people living in our contemporary society today are not certain of their life direction. They just follow the trends and their future is determined by other people. Indeed, living without the knowledge of one’s purpose is like a passenger who does not know his or her destination. 

This morning I talked to a teacher who admitted that the education system she is in is problematic. The implication is that it is not creative and innovative. The teachers are busy meeting the requirements of the system such as submitting data. I am happy that she is aware of the problem of the education system. But such awareness is not sufficient, and there is a need for her to be different to help equip the emerging generation who can be creative, innovative and entrepreneurial. 

It is sad to be purposeless. And it is joyful to find out and be able to live according to the authentic purpose of life. 

我和妻子在飞往槟城的飛机，我们期待到了槟城和部分家庭成员相聚，然后在一个领导研讨会上授课。我相信机内的大多数乘客都知道他们的目的地。如果有乘客被问及他的目的地，而他的答案是，“我不知道，你需要问飞机师!” 这無疑是一个荒谬的答案。

然而，许多生活在现代社会的人其实并不清楚自己的生活目的，他们只跟随趋势，他们的未来变成了由其他人决定。事实上，在不清楚人生目的情况下生活就如同一位不知道自己目的地的乘客。

今天早上和一位老师交谈，她承认所处在的教育制度有问题，即是这制度缺乏创造力和革新，而老师都忙于满足课程的要求如提交数据。我很高兴她意识到教育制度有问题。但是具有这种意识还不够，她还必须与其他老师有分别以促使新一代能够具有创造和革新力及创业精神。

漫无目的是难过的事，而找到了人生目标过生活则是人生乐事。

It is good that we reached Penang, the destination for this trip.
