According to the article, "Facebook has a tobacco problem, researchers say" by Angelica Lavito on the [CNBC website](https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/05/facebook-filled-with-e-cig-tobacco-promotions-researchers-say.html), advertisements are rampant and often not well regulated.

Facebook had declared a banned on all cryptocurrency ICO advertisements, however, I have personally seen more of these ICO ads popping up. Doing what you preach? No.

Many times I have also encountered posts shared on Facebook containing hate speech, violence, gore. Reporting it to the Facebook authorities is futile, and I would receive a meaningless message saying "This post does not violate our community guidelines." What?!

If they want to be socially free but get ad fees they should have the option for PEOPLE to opt out of certain ads on their feed.  A smoker is not a drinker. A married parson doesn’t always have kids.

yeah I have never had the thinking that I should be paid to view ads. But yeah why are we paying FB to feed us with ads? Marketing companies should be paying us a fee as well.

It should be like: "Advertisement: Click to view and get paid $0.50."
