In a world we're living in, most of the people see failure as something very negative. Truth is, failure is the part of process just like success. It's all scientific! Life does not move in a straightline and this applies to all of us including the most successful people. Everybody makes mistakes but most of us get demotivated and don't learn anything out of these experiences. Those who do, they improve their learning and thus do the needful and move onto the next step. If we get overly excited at being successful or gloomy and very sad at failure, our judgement becomes cloudy and we miss the point. Up or down, win or loss, we need to keep moving on without conparing ourselves with anyone else because we're all different from one another.
