<h1>Hudsucker Pt 1 - Target Audience</h1>
Tonight I embark on my journey to build a Steem Application for Gaming. The goal is to build an application that rewards gamers for their achievements, by reading the API of a popular video game.
This is blog one in a series that I have titled, Hudsucker, based on the movie <i>The Hudsucker Proxy</i>.

<h1>Long Live The Hud!</h1>
I've decided on this project for a few reasons, which I believe will have both personal and communal impact. The first reason is to educate myself. I see self education as the greatest means to an end, and I tirelessly long for the completion of my life goals. The second, is for Steemit. I have a strong desire to create something that the members of this platform can be proud of, and something that will inspire others to join Steemit for it's then, obviously apparent, gross interests.
It may sound like a difficult task, and given some thought, I'm sure it will be. However, if I am to succeed, I will have been one of the catalyst that made the steem blockchain mainstream, and that truly excites me. That alone, without even name recognition, is worth all the hours I am about to pour into this project. To be able to say that, I made that thing, that simple, beautifully complex thing that everyone likes so much. I'm the definition of a Hudsucker.

<h3>Fate of a Hudsucker - Some Call It Destiny</h3>
Earlier this week I saw the title of an article that struck a chord with me, so much that, I didn't click on the article for a hours to come, but I gave it my upvote. I knew what the article was about simply based on the title. I knew what the author what concoct in the paragraphs to come, the moment I clicked that link and began reading. I already knew, so instead I took to thought, and came up with this wild idea you're presently reading about. The article mentioned this one thing that I knew to be true, that steemit would become mainstream when an application based on steem became mainstream...that, is the truth. That is why we are all here. Whether you're a content creator, a curator or a dev, you have vests in this platform and steem, and will play an essential role in what is the future of social media and cryptocurrency.
The only question is, <i>how big will the impact be?</i>

<h1>The Birth of a Hudsucker - Est by Steem</h1>
After joining the steemit platform, I began to study html as a way to format posts however I desired and stop being so "nub". My education in html has lead me to a thirst for other programming languages, so that <b>I</b> can be the one to recognize my own visions of the future. That's not to say that I don't welcome help, but I'd like to not be ignorant on the subject.

In these blogs I will learn Ruby, JavaScript, Mysql, and any other languages that pop-up along the way, that I believe may help me achieve this vision. I will discus the direction of the application, what I've learned, how I've learned and it what I think it all means for myself and for steemit.
I don't believe the application needs to be crazy or have fancy bells and whistles. It just needs to work, and be user friendly. That's all gamers really want, and that's what I'm going to give them...sooner or later.
<h3>Tonight's goals/quests:</h3>
Find out what all I need to learn
Create basic layout of application
Choose game api
How will game api integrate with steem?
I have no previous experience in coding other than what I began to learn as of this summer. Since then I've been able to construct basic bots, and web applications with the help of youtube tutorials, and github, but this will be a challenge of another level.
In the future, I will be providing updates, and live streams on the project via Dlive and Dtube.

Let's do this!
