Hello HiveGarden Lovers, One of the joys for farmers is when they harvest crops that have been cared for with love. In order for us to harvest, we must plant. That's why I'm going to plant Peking onions today. I won't be planting much, just a few cloves. The most important thing is that it can meet my and my family's daily needs. Because I don't plant in large quantities, I can do some maximum effort in growing Peking onions, such as putting the onion seeds in the refrigerator before planting and making protection from the stems of banana stems for my new onion plants. --- <div class="pull-left"> <center>  </center> </div> <div class="pull-right"> <center>  </center> </div> ---- My steps in planting Peking onions namely : 1.Selection of Seeds I chose Peking onions which had started to sprout. Peking onions are a type of onion that sprouts easily. That's why I chose Peking onions for planting.   2.Chop 1/3 of the Peking onion. I do this to accelerate the growth of new shoots. I removed the top 1/3/end part and took the root part.   3.Dry for a while until the sap is reduced. I don't put it out in the sun, I just put it in the room. Drying at room temperature reduces the sap content.   4.Put it in the fridge. After the sap has reduced, I put the onion seeds in the fridge. I hope that in this way, the onion seeds will grow quickly because farmers usually plant onions in the highlands where the temperature is cold.  On the third day the onion seeds started to grow shoots, after they sprouted I began to arrange the onion seeds in the refrigerator, so that the shoots were not broken because the onion seeds were overlapping each other.   On the sixth day, shoot growth was faster, shoots grew between 2-3 cm.  In the sixth week, the shoots have grown well, it's time to plant.   5.Separating new shoots in one fruit can produce several sprouts, I separate each clove so that I can plant several new shoots.    6.Make holes for planting onion seeds. I give one inch distance between one plant and another.  7.Planting onion seeds I plant one sprout per hole,this way I can have some new onion plants.   8.Create protection I had to make shelter for the onion seedlings that I had just planted, because there were lots of chickens roaming around in the garden, so I made shelter from banana stem fronds. Banana stalks can last for 2-3 weeks, I hope the onion shoots will grow quickly and the chickens in the garden won't damage the newly planted onion plants.  9.Put the guard on Make holes on both sides of the newly planted onion plant, then place the banana stem fronds on both sides of the onion plant, backfill with soil so the chickens cannot damage it.  I hope this way, my onion plants will thrive. Banana stems also provide protection from the sun, the resulting cold effect will have a positive impact on the growth of new onion plants.  It was already dusk, I was going to end my gardening trip today, but before going home I was going to harvest bananas, I saw a bunch of ripe bananas on a tree.
