We have had yet a bouncy day, with most tokens in red, but not moving seriously in either direction. There are still MEME coins running wild on Solana, and the most recent token that has gained a lot in the last 24 hours is "cat in a dogs world" ($MEW), but that is yet another crappy token with giant risk, so I would stay far away. But, there is another token that has actually performed even better in the last 24 hours in the top 500 on the CoinMarketCap list and that is REI Network with its $REI token. 

Maybe you haven't heard about REI yet? That isn't strange, because it was recently rebranded from GXChain to REI Network. The former token GXC was converted into REI at a 1:10 ratio. So, lots of things have happened there. But what is the REI token about?

## What is REI? What has caused the recent surge in price?
REI is supposed to be a high-speed blockchain with no fees. It is compatible with EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine).  It aims to build a trusted data internet of value that enables businesses and individuals to share data securely and profitably. The platform also has a decentralized data marketplace where users can buy, sell, and share data with one another, while maintaining control over their own data privacy.

REI has had a positive trend going for a while, but the most recent price increase might origin from their partnership with OpenTaskAI, a global marketplace connecting AI freelancers and business owners in need of help.
