Cada habilidade em **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** possui objetivos diferentes e podem desempenhar de maneira adversa de acordo com cada batalha, entretanto existem aquelas que vão ser funcionais na grande maioria dos combates enquanto outras podem mais atrapalhar do que ajudar. Um exemplo claro de habilidade que nem sempre será útil é a **Scattershot** https://i.imgur.com/7bhnNaY.png por adicionar ainda mais aleatoriedade ao time e caso isso não seja feito em conjunto com a habilidade **Blast** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_blast.png você estará apenas piorando seu time.

Outro exemplo perfeito e que será o foco desta postagem é a habilidade **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png que pode exercer um papel fundamental que é eliminar os suportes do time inimigo para garantir que elas não vão dar **sustain infinito** ao tank, entretanto se isso for feito de maneira errada você poderá acabar dividindo seu dano entre vários alvos e ficar ineficiente. Então vamos aprender quais detalhes você deve se manter atento ao utilizr essa habilidade.

O meu time é uma composição padrão focada na sobrevivência do tank através da escolha de unidades de suporte para fornecer **Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_heal.png e **Repair** https://i.imgur.com/qgoXFmp.png.

Se considerarmos isso pode parecer que escolher uma carta com **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png seja uma ótima opção, porém alguns detalhes muito importantes devem ser considerados.

Ao observarmos que os dois splinters disponíveis eram **Vida** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/c/c6/Splinter-life.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224241 e **Terra** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a4/Splinter-earth.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224207 podemos perceber que no caso de **Vida** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/c/c6/Splinter-life.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224241 existem dois invocadores que tornam o **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png muito ineficiente, que seriam a **Lorna Shrine** ou o próprio **Tyrus Paladium** que eu utilizei. Já no caso do elemento **Terra** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a4/Splinter-earth.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224207 há a lendária **Queen Mycelia** que também distribui armadura para todo o time e gera essa ineficiência de dano. Em ambos os casos essa habilidade seria pouco efetiva pois demoraria para conseguir eliminar as cartas por estarem protegidas.

Se as duas composições forem focadas em curar o tank, caso você utilize essa habilidade você terá a vantagem pois eventualmente eliminará os suportes e quebrará essa estrutura da estratégia do inimigo, entretanto se você não estiver utilizando essa estratégia o seu tank poderá morrer mais rápido do que o do adversário pois você estará distribuindo seu dano entre diferentes alvos, e uma composição quebrada significa grandes chances de derrota.

Imagine se o time inimigo possuísse uma dessas cartas de cura. A soma das duas curas impediriam o **Flesh Golem** de morrer enquanto o **Hunter Jarx** estaria fazendo o seu papel de eliminar os meus suportes com seu **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png.

Se você tiver consciência desses dois pontos e refletir sobre as possibilidades e os prós e contras ao montar a sua composição você provavelmente estará preparado para utilizar o **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png adequadamente para quebrar totalmente as estratégias do inimigo. Infelizmente não foi o caso para o meu oponente pois a armadura extra do **Tyrus Paladium** fez o **Hunter Jarx** gastar muito tempo primeiro tendo que quebrar a armadura e depois começar a causar dano.

Each ability in **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** has different objectives and can perform adversely according to each battle, however there are those that will be functional in the vast majority of combats while others may be more of a hindrance than a help. A clear example of a ability that will not always be useful is **Scattershot** https://i.imgur.com/7bhnNaY.png for adding even more randomness to the team and in case this is not done in conjunction with the ability **Blast** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_blast.png you will only make your team worse.

Another perfect example that will be the focus of this post is the **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png ability that can play a key role that is to eliminate supports from the team enemy to ensure they don't give **infinite sustain** to the tank, however if this is done wrong you could end up splitting your damage across multiple targets and becoming ineffective. So let's learn what details you should keep an eye out for when using this ability.

My team is a standard composition focused on tank survivability through choosing support units to provide **Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_heal.png and **Repair** https://i.imgur.com/qgoXFmp.png.

Considering this, it might seem that choosing a card with **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png is a great option, but some very important details must be considered.

As for the **Earth** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a4/Splinter-earth.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224207 element there is the legendary **Queen Mycelia** which also distributes armor to the entire team and generates this damage inefficiency. In both cases this ability would be ineffective because it would take time to eliminate the cards because they are protected.

If both compositions are focused on healing the tank, if you use this ability you will have the advantage because eventually you will eliminate the supports and break this structure of the enemy's strategy, however if you are not using this strategy your tank can die faster than than the opponent's as you will be distributing your damage between different targets, and a broken composition means high chances of defeat.

Imagine if the enemy team had one of these healing cards. The sum of the two heals would prevent the **Flesh Golem** from dying while the **Hunter Jarx** would be doing his part to eliminate my supports with his **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png.

If you are aware of these two points and reflect on the possibilities and the pros and cons when putting together your composition you will probably be prepared to use **Snipe** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_snipe.png properly to completely break enemy strategies. Unfortunately this was not the case for my opponent as the extra armor from the **Tyrus Paladium** made the **Hunter Jarx** spend a lot of time first having to break the armor and then start dealing damage.
