Esse título pode levar a muitas interpretações e todas elas fazem sentido, entretanto para o post sobre **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** de hoje eu quero abordar sobre o foco dos seus atacantes. Todos sabemos que existem várias habilidades que fazem as unidades atacarem alvos diferentes e elas são muito úteis dependendo da sua estratégia, entretanto utilizá-las todas em uma mesma composição pode ter um efeito inverso do esperado e afetar negativamente o dano do seu time.

## <div class="phishy"><center><strong>TENHA FOCO</strong></center></div>

Ao montar um time sua ideia deve estar clara sobre qual estratégia aquela composição adotará. Seja focada em utilizar vários **Sneaks** para eliminar as unidades mais frágeis do oponente ou focar todo seu poder de fogo com arqueiros buffados atacando o tank, sua composição deve estar trabalhando em conjunto para fazer sua estratégia funcionar adequadamente.

Isso não significa que dividir seu dano entre vários alvos seja necessariamente ruim, realmente vai ser uma estratégia útil em algumas partidas, principalmente naquelas onde a mana disponível for muito baixa pois aumentará a chance das cartas possuírem poucos status defensivos e consequentemente serem facilmente abatidos.

Todavia se você utilizar uma composição que ataca vários alvos diferentes sem nenhum fator que favoreça isso você provavelmente gastará todo seu potencial ofensivo de maneira não otimizada e perderá a chance de vencer uma disputa simplesmente por não ter foco!

Para facilitar a compreensão sobre o assunto eu mostrarei uma partida onde o oponente monta um time muito forte mas que não possui coerência ofensiva, ou seja, cada carta foca em alvos diferentes e esse detalhe muda totalmente o rumo que o combate deveria tomar.

Observe a diferença entre as duas composições. Meu time foi montado visando causar o máximo de dano nas unidades mágicas/arqueiras do oponente utilizando a regra **Target Practice** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/6/6b/Combat-rule_target-practice.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210209075059 para focar nas unidades da linha de trás e eventualmente eliminar cartas com habilidades de suporte importantes, aumentando minhas chances de vitória.

Inclusive é válido comentar que se eu trocasse a posição entre o **Kelp Initiate** e o **Prismatic Energy** teria sido ainda mais eficaz já que se o oponente utilizasse unidades mágicas elas atacariam o Prismatic e sofreriam dano por causa do **Magic Reflect**.

Enquanto isso meu adversário focou apenas no **caos absoluto**  pois suas unidades atacam alvos totalmente diferentes dispersando o dano completamente entre minhas cartas. Isso se tornou ainda menos efetivo por causa do **Venari Wavesmith** e sua distribuição de armadura com a habilidade **Protect**.

Percebem a diferença? **Foco vs Caos** em um confronto e apesar de ambas as composições serem poderosas, esta partida em específico não possuía regras ou mana que beneficia os múltiplos focos que o adversário adotou. Isso fez com que suas unidades perdessem muito tempo lidando com a armadura e eliminando lentamente minhas unidades, enquanto as suas eram rapidamente destruídas com a onda de ataques mágicos causados pelo meu time.

Mesmo possuindo 13 de Vida o **Mycelic Slipspawn** foi eliminado no primeiro turno por conta do alto dano das unidades mágicas, simplesmente insano!

## <div class="phishy"><center><strong>CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS</strong></center></div>

Todas as composições são viáveis e boas em **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** então não entenda que o meu adversário errou, entretanto cada composição será beneficiada em determinadas circunstâncias e em casos de partidas com mana disponível muito alta os danos serem amplamente distribuídos entre várias unidades pode não ser muito efetivo.

É importante **termos foco** não somente no sentido de atacar apenas um único alvo mas sim sobre **qual é a estratégia que o seu time adotará e se ela está de acordo com as regras, splinters e mana disponíveis na partida**. A resposta para essa pergunta com certeza te guiará para compor melhores times e aumentar sua taxa de vitórias no jogo!

This title can lead to many interpretations and they all make sense, however for today's post about **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** I want to address the focus of your attackers. We all know that there are several abilities that make units attack different targets and they are very useful depending on your strategy, however using them all in the same composition can have the opposite effect of what you expect and negatively affect your team's damage.

## <div class="phishy"><center><strong>BE FOCUSED</strong></center></div>

When assembling a team, your idea must be clear about which strategy that composition will adopt. Whether you're focused on utilizing multiple **Sneaks** to eliminate your opponent's weaker units or focusing all your firepower with buffed archers attacking the tank, your composition must be working together to make your strategy work properly.

This does not mean that splitting your damage between multiple targets is necessarily bad, it will actually be a useful strategy in some matches, especially in those where the available mana is very low as it will increase the chance of cards having low defensive stats and consequently being easily killed.

However, if you use a composition that attacks several different targets without any factors that favor it, you will probably spend all your offensive potential in a non-optimized way and you will lose the chance to win a dispute simply by not having focus!

To facilitate the understanding on the subject, I will show a game where the opponent assembles a very strong team but that does not have offensive coherence, that is, each card focuses on different targets and this detail totally changes the course that the combat should take.

Note the difference between the two compositions. My team was assembled to deal maximum damage to the opponent's magic/archer units using the **Target Practice** rule https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/6/6b/Combat-rule_target-practice.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210209075059 to focus on the back row units and eventually eliminate cards with important support abilities, increasing my chances of winning.

It's even worth mentioning that if I changed the position between the **Kelp Initiate** and the **Prismatic Energy** it would have been even more effective since if the opponent used magic units they would attack the Prismatic and take damage because of the **Magic Reflect**.

Meanwhile my opponent only focused on **absolute chaos** as his units attack totally different targets dispersing the damage completely between my cards. This is made even less effective by the **Venari Wavesmith** and its armor distribution with the **Protect** skill.

See the difference? **Focus vs Chaos** in a match and while both comps are powerful, this particular match had no rules or mana that benefits the multiple foci the opponent has adopted. This caused your units to waste a lot of time dealing with armor and slowly taking out my units, while yours were quickly destroyed with the wave of magic attacks caused by my team.

Even with 13 Health the **Mycelic Slipspawn** was eliminated in the first turn due to the high damage of magic units, simply insane!

## <div class="phishy"><center><strong>FINAL CONSIDERATIONS</strong></center></div>

All compositions are viable and good in **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** so don't understand that my opponent made a mistake, however each composition will benefit in certain circumstances and in cases of matches with very high available mana the damage being spread widely across multiple units may not be very effective.

It's important to **focus** not only on attacking a single target but on **what strategy your team will adopt and if it complies with the rules, splinters and mana available in the game** . The answer to this question will surely guide you to compose better teams and increase your win rate.
