## **Level baixo = Melhor?**

Durante minha noite jogando **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock "splinterlands")** ontem eu acabei caindo contra o **@Elderdark**, um amigo que também faz parte da **@Hivebr**. Enfrentar um amigo é sempre divertido principalmente quando nós vencemos ele *(a zueira não tem limite)* mas a partida em questão foi muito peculiar e vale a pena fazer uma postagem sobre ela.

A batalha foi uma **Mirror Match** *(Todas as cartas da composição eram iguais)* e havia apenas uma diferença que impediu o **empate automático** desta partida: duas cartas do oponente possuíam level superior às minhas.

Com o empate automático sendo impedido por causa dessa diferença de level, o **Elderdark** estava por possuir duas cartas com mais estatísticas. O **Crustacean King** possuía +1 de armadura e a **River Nymph** possuía +1 de dano *(mas perdeu 1 de vida)*. A partida se iniciou de maneira bem espelhada mas ao finalizar a primeira rodada e analisar carta por carta é possível perceber um detalhe muito importante.

A **River Nymph** do oponente é capaz de causar mais dano mas também possui menos vida, isso a torna muito mais vulnarável **Magic Reflect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_magic-reflect.png que em conjunto da habilidade **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png eram capazes de refletir 2 de dano contra a Nymph. Isso significa que por possuir -1 de vida em comparação com a minha carta foram necessários apenas 2 rodadas para que a **River Nymph** do oponente fosse eliminada pelo **Magic Reflect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_magic-reflect.png.

É estranho pensar que uma carta com level maior teria desvantagem em uma partida mas é possível encontrar uma lógica quando analisamos a situação. O principal papel da **River Nymph** é oferecer **suporte** removendo todos os debuffs do Tank com a habilidade **Cleanse** https://imgur.com/bU5XReT.png mas principalmente utilizar o **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png para aumentar todo o dano refletido causado pelo time, portanto seu principal objetivo com esta carta é **mantê-la viva o máximo de tempo possível para garantir que ela exerça seu papel de suporte por mais tempo**.

Nessa situação onde a Nymph do oponente causa mais dano mas possui menos vida acabou deixando-o vulnerável ao reflect e resultou na morte prepatura da sua carta. Quando a Nymph foi eliminada toda a vantagem gerada pelo **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png foi perdida, então a partir da sua morte a disputa começou a ficar desbalanceada em meu favor.

Enquanto o **Ruler of the Sea** do Elderdark recebeu 3 de dano refletido e foi eliminado, o meu Ruler recebeu apenas 2 de dano e isso possibilitou que ele permanecesse vivo. A partir daqui o resultado final da partida se torna óbvio, apesar de possuirmos exatamente o mesmo time posicionados igualmente, o fato da **River Nymph** possuir menos vida levou a composição do oponente à ruina.

## **Analise o objetivo da carta**

Intuitivamente nós sempre tentaremos utilizar as cartas no maior level possível e eu não vou dizer que essa estratégia está errada, entretando existe a possibilidade de fazermos uma análise particular em determinadas cartas para avaliar sua relação **[custo-benefício](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-cost "custo-benefício")** e tomar a melhor decisão.

No exemplo mencionado na postagem o principal objetivo da **River Nymph** é oferecer suporte com suas habilidades portanto possuir uma saúde maior talvez seja mais benéfico para o papel exercído por essa carta. Além disso quando analisamos o valor que precisamos **[investir](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-investment "investimento")** para comprá-la, percebe-se que há uma grande diferença de preço.

São necessárias 20 cópias extras para nivelar a **River Nymph** no level 6. Vale a pena gastar 33% à mais para comprar esta carta no level 6 *(possui +1 de dano)* sendo que no level 5 você poderá pagar mais barato e garantir maior tempo de sobrevivência *(possui +1 de vida)* para a carta?

## **Low level = Better?**

During my night playing **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock "splinterlands")** yesterday I ended up falling against **@Elderdark**, a friend who is also part of **@Hivebr**. Facing a friend is always fun especially when we beat him *(zuera never end)* but the match in question was very peculiar and worth making a post about it.

The battle was a **Mirror Match** *(All cards in the composition were the same)* and there was only one difference that prevented the **automatic draw** of this match: two cards of the opponent had a higher level than mine.

With the automatic draw being prevented because of this level difference, the Elderdark was having two cards with more stats. The Crustacean King had +1 armor and the River Nymph had +1 damage (but lost 1 life). The match started in a very mirrored way but at the end of the first round and analyzing card by card it is possible to notice a very important detail.

The opponent's **River Nymph** is capable of causing more damage but also has less life, this makes it much more vulnerable **Magic Reflect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_magic-reflect.png that together with the ability **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png were able to reflect 2 damage against the Nymph. This means that because it has -1 life compared to my card it only took 2 rounds for the opponent's **River Nymph** to be eliminated by **Magic Reflect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_magic-reflect.png.

It is strange to think that a card with a higher level would have a disadvantage in a match but it is possible to find a logic when we analyze the situation. The main role of **River Nymph** is to offer **support** by removing all Tank debuffs with the ability **Cleanse** https://imgur.com/bU5XReT.png but mainly to use **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png to increase all the reflected damage caused by the team, so your main goal with this card is to **keep it alive as long as possible to ensure that it plays its support role for longer**.

In this situation where the opponent's Nymph deals more damage but has less life, it ended up leaving you vulnerable to the reflect and resulted in the premature death of your card. When the Nymph was eliminated all the advantage generated by the **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png was lost, so from its death the dispute began to be unbalanced in my favor.

While Elderdark's **Ruler of the Sea** received 3 reflected damage and was eliminated, my Ruler received only 2 damage and this made it possible for him to stay alive. From here the final result of the match becomes obvious, despite having exactly the same team positioned equally, the fact that the **River Nymph** has less life led the opponent's composition to ruin.

## **Analyze the card purpose**

Intuitively we will always try to use the cards at the highest level possible and I will not say that this strategy is wrong, however there is the possibility of doing a particular analysis on certain cards to evaluate their **[cost-benefit](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-cost "cost-benefit")** ratio and make the best decision.

In the example mentioned in the post, the main purpose of **River Nymph** is to offer support with her abilities, so having a higher health may be more beneficial for the role played by this card. In addition, when we analyze the amount we need **[invest](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-investment "investment")** to buy it, it is clear that there is a big difference in price.

An extra 20 copies are required to level the **River Nymph** to level 6. Analyzing these factors it is possible to come to some conclusions about whether or not it is valid to buy it at higher levels, but maybe you can spend less on it and focus on other cards that will further implement your collection.
