## <div class="phishy"><center><strong>ÁGUA VS TERRA</strong></center></div>

Aproveitando que minha última postagem foi sobre o confronto de dois elementos opostos **[Life vs Death](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@underlock/life-vs-death-splinterlands-pt-breng)** eu me senti estimulado a tentar conseguir boas partidas de **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** onde outros dois elementos opostos se enfrentassem e enfim consegui uma ótima partida para compartilhar com vocês.

Nesta batalha eu escolhi um time de **Água** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/5/5f/Spliner-water.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212223852 mas meu adversário trouxe uma composição com muitas unidades counters do elemento de **Terra** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a4/Splinter-earth.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224207 *(pensou que o contrário de água seria **Fogo** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/9/92/Splinter-fire.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224131? achou errado 🤣)* que resultou em uma disputa muito acirrada.

O conjunto de regras não indicava muita coisa, porém os elementos liberados aumentavam as chances de composições mágicas, então haviam dois caminhos:

- Tentar counterar a composição do oponente;
- Montar minha própria composição e deixá-lo tentar counterar;

Estas duas escolhas também são conhecidas em outros cardgames como **Beatdown**. Se você se posiciona como **o mais forte** e deixa para o seu oponente tentar counterá-lo, você estará se posicionando como o Beatdown da partida, ou seja, aquele que deve ser derrubado.

No meu caso por possuir cartas poderosas à disposição eu assumi uma postura mais ofensiva e montei uma composição escolhendo minhas melhores unidades disponíveis sem me importar com qual seria a composição inimiga.

E este foi o resultado. Com 7 de mana eu escolhi duas unidades robustas para atuar na linha de frente, sendo o **Kelp** uma ótima carta para fazer uso da regra **Spreading Fury** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a0/Combat-rule_Spreading-Fury.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210308205839 por conta da sua alta velocidade e o **Lord Arianthus** um tank para todos os tipos de dano que consegue refletir 2/3 dos tipos de ataques.

Para aumentar esse dano refletido eu escolhi a **River Nymph** que possui a habilidade **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png e um segundo suporte que contribui para todo o time é o **Crustacean King** que além de conseguir curar meus tanks com **Tank Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_tank-heal.png ainda distribui armadura para todos com a habilidade **Protect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_protect.png.

As outras duas unidades tinham como foco causar dano. O **Doctor Blight** se tornou carta recorrente em quase todas as minhas composições por conta do seu altíssimo valor considerando o combo de habilidades que possui e o baixo custo de mana. A segunda unidade foi o **Axemaster** devido ao seu incrível dano *(que foi extremamente importante para me conceder a vitória)*. 

A composição do meu oponente também foi muito bem montada, sendo que ele assumiu o papel de **derrubar o Beatdown** e montou uma composição visando counterar a minha, resultando nisso:

Sua composição visa fazer causar alto dano ao mesmo tempo em que lida contra unidades mágicas utilizando o **Unicorn Mustang** que é uma linha de frente absurdamente poderosa contra magos principalmente no alto level por possuir tanto **Void** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_void.png quanto **Magic Reflect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_magic-reflect.png para punir completamente as unidades que causam **dano mágico** https://i.imgur.com/lVDQivZ.png.

Para garantir que o Unicorn pudesse exercer seu papel durante toda a partida ele escolheu duas unidades para fornecer **Tank Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_tank-heal.png, sendo que o **Goblin Psychic** além disso ainda consegue negar cura com **Affliction** https://i.imgur.com/tcXJ3IC.png e diminuir o dano dos magos com **Silence** https://i.imgur.com/kxkTXqq.png.

Apesar de ambas as composições serem muito boas, o detalhe que conseguiu desbalancear essa disputa foi o **Axemaster** com sua capacidade de causar um dano maior do que o que oUnicorn conseguia aguentar.

Para auxiliar na morte do Unicorn o **Doctor Blight** também exerceu papel fundamental ao aplicar seus dois debuffs que causaram dano e impediram a cura do oponente.

Mesmo tendo montado uma composição muito boa visando counterar um time mágico o fato de eu ter escolhido agir como **Beatdown** e selecionado minhas melhores cartas sem me importar com um padrão de composição me permitiu não ser completamente counterado. Apenas duas das minhas unidades sofreram com o reflect enquanto as outras conseguiram exercer perfeitamente o seu papel, especialmente o **Axemaster** que brilhou nesta partida!

Entender **como você pode se posicionar em uma partida** é crucial na hora de montar uma composição. Existirão confrontos em que as regras e os elementos disponíveis não favoreçam suas cartas à disposição, nestes casos você deverá utilizar sua esperteza para tentar counterar o oponente com análise e previsão. Entretanto haverão outras disputas em que você poderá utilizar todo o seu poder de fogo e apenas deixar o oponente se virar para lidar com isso. E funciona perfeitamente!

Taking advantage that my last post was about the clash of two opposing elements **[Life vs Death](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@underlock/life-vs-death-splinterlands-pt-breng)** I felt encouraged to try to get good matches from **[Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=underlock)** where two other opposing elements faced each other and I finally got a great match to share with you.

In this battle I chose a **Water** team https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/5/5f/Spliner-water.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212223852 but my opponent brought a composition with many counter units from the **Earth** element https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a4/Splinter-earth.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224207 *(If you thought the opposite of water would be **Fire** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/9/92/Splinter-fire.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210212224131? found it wrong 🤣)* which resulted in a very fierce dispute.

The ruleset didn't indicate much, but the released elements increased the chances of magical compositions, so there were two paths:

- Trying to counter the opponent's composition;
- Assemble my own composition and let it try to counter;

These two choices are also known in other cardgames as **Beatdown**. If you position yourself as **the strongest** and let your opponent try to counter you, you will be positioning yourself as the Beatdown of the match, that is, the one who should be knocked down.

In my case, because I have powerful cards at my disposal, I took a more offensive stance and set up a composition by choosing my best available units without caring about what the enemy composition would be.

And this was the result. With 7 mana I chose two robust units to act on the front line, with **Kelp** being a great card to make use of the **Spreading Fury** https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/splinterlands/images/a/a0/Combat-rule_Spreading-Fury.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/25?cb=20210308205839 rule because of its high speed and **Lord Arianthus** a tank for everyone the types of damage that can reflect 2/3 of the types of attacks.

To increase this reflected damage I chose the **River Nymph** which has the ability **Amplify** https://i.imgur.com/61YdoSH.png and a second support that contributes to the whole team is the **Crustacean King** that in addition to being able to heal my tanks with **Tank Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_tank-heal.png also distributes armor to everyone with the **Protect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_protect.png ability.

The other two units were focused on dealing damage. The **Doctor Blight** has become a recurring card in almost all of my compositions because of its very high value considering the combo of skills it has and its low mana cost. The second unit was the **Axemaster** due to its incredible damage *(which was extremely important in granting me the victory)*.

My opponent's composition was also very well put together, and he took on the role of **knocking down the Beatdown** and put together a composition to counter mine, resulting in this:

Its composition aims to do high damage while dealing against magic units using the **Unicorn Mustang** which is an absurdly powerful front line against mages especially at high level because it has so much **Void** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_void.png and **Magic Reflect** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_magic-reflect.png to fully punish the units that cause **magic damage** https://i.imgur.com/lVDQivZ.png.

To ensure that Unicorn could play its role throughout the match, he chose two units to provide **Tank Heal** https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/website/abilities/small/ability_tank-heal.png, with the **Goblin Psychic** can also negate healing with **Affliction** https://i.imgur.com/tcXJ3IC.png and decrease mages damage with **Silence** https://i.imgur.com/kxkTXqq.png.

Despite both compositions being very good, the detail that managed to unbalance this dispute was the **Axemaster** with its ability to deal more damage than the Unicorn could handle.

To aid in the Unicorn's death, the **Doctor Blight** also played a key role in applying its two debuffs that dealt damage and prevented the opponent from healing.

Even though I built a very good composition to counter a magic team, the fact that I chose to act as **Beatdown** and selected my best cards without caring about a composition pattern allowed me not to be completely countered. Only two of my units suffered with the reflect while the others managed to play their role perfectly, especially the **Axemaster** that shone in this match!

Understanding **how you can position yourself in a match** is crucial when putting together a composition. There will be confrontations in which the rules and the available elements do not favor your available cards, in these cases you will have to use your cleverness to try to counter the opponent with analysis and prediction. However, there will be other contests where you can use all your firepower and just let the opponent handle it. And it works perfectly!
