" *On the hottest day of the year, the town's only fan( literally one fan), mysteriously vanished*. The whole crowd stood inside the town hall with their mouths wide open, while starring at the empty space where the fan once stood in horror.

" What happened? Where's the fan? Who could have taken the fan? These questions and more ran through their minds, but there were no answers.

Zida town, was a small, tight knit community,where everyone knew each other. Mr. Martins the leader who was also confused and disturbed as everyone one tried to calm the crowd. " Look around everyone, he said. Is there anyone who is not here?

The crowd began scanning faces, searching for a missing person or persons.
That was when they noticed Hilbert's absence and panic set in afresh.

Hilbert was new ro their town and mostly in their faces. Something about him felt off, but no one could put their on it. Hours, went by with the sweltering heat making everyone more angry, and still no news about his whereabouts.

Just as the sun was setting,and people were returning home, Hilbert walked in carrying a brand new fan. He explained how he had taken the old fan in the dead of the night, hoping to return early and fix it,but was delayed.

The previous fan was old, made funny sounds and hardly gave any cold air. He had taken it to a far away town and exchanged it for a new one, along with a small token.

As the new fan spun to life giving cool breeze, the crowds initial anger melted away, replaced by gratitude and admiration for Hilbert's thoughtfulness, as the breeze brought sweet relief to the sweltering town's people.
