—Puedes sentir la presencia de su cuerpo sin vida, aún la muerte deja una esencia que puede ser rastreada. Concéntrate en ella. Hurga en tus recuerdos, y libera toda la ansiedad que posees por verla.

Las palabras de Helena fueron convirtiéndose en mi punto clave de canalización. Aparté el dolor de la noticia por un instante y me concentré en encontrar el cuerpo de Amanda. Helena me sostuvo del brazo mientras me miraba fijamente con atención. Me ayudaba a sostenerme por si llegaba en algún momento a derrumbarme.

—Dime Erasmus, ¿qué es lo que ves? —Preguntó Helena susurrando en mi oído.

—Veo un pasillo poco iluminado, —contesté—, hacia el fondo hay una puerta de aviso con letras borrosas, espera… ¡ya las puedo identificar!

—Perfecto mi amor, vas muy bien, sigue adelante, no pierdas el rastro. ¿Qué hay del otro lado de la puerta?

—Hay una habitación oscura, —esta vez apreté mis ojos con más fuerza con mis parpados superiores—, las luces son muy intensas pero la oscuridad aún sigue ahí, no puedo vislumbrar nada aún.

—Concéntrate en el primer objeto que creas relevante. ¿Puedes ver algo? —La voz de Helena se hacía más tenue y suave, me provocaba un aire de tranquilidad.

—Veo… poco a poco se van revelando camillas, esas que usan en las morgues para transportar a los muertos.

—Muy bien mi amor, sigue así, estas avanzando. Toca una.

Hice caso inmediato a la orden de Helena. Toqué la camilla y estaba fría, como si hubiese sido expuesta a muchos témpanos de hielo.

— ¿Fría? —Dijo Helena confundida— ¿Qué más ves ahí?

—No veo más nada… ¡aguarda! —Alzo mi rostro impactado—Veo a una figura angelical, con un ala plateada izquierda muy extensa. Ojos azules y brillantes portando una especie de ropa de seda. ¡Es un hombre! Si, puedo verlo bien. Tiene el cabello blanco y brilla cada vez que lo agita.

— ¡Un nephilim! —Exclamó Helena sorprendida— ¿Dime qué está haciendo mi amor?

—Está parado allí, sosteniendo a mí hija en sus brazos. Parece que quiere llevársela, ¡apartarla de mí! Puedo percibirlo, puedo verlo en su sonrisa maliciosa. ¡Debemos detenerlo! ¡Quien sabe que intenciones tendrá con ella!

—Cálmate Erasmus y despierta. —Espetó Helena colocando su mano en mi rostro—. ¡Debemos ir a la morgue ahora mismo!

Y sin perder el tiempo recorrimos el camino con celeridad hacia la morgue del hospital. Llegamos hacia la puerta gracias a la ayuda de mis visiones, entramos y solo encontramos a dos enfermeros petrificados, una pluma larga y plateada sobre una de las camillas y una especie de puerta luminosa en la pared del fondo; parecía mágica y era demasiado brillante.

— ¡Un portal nephilim! —Aseveró Helena—Lo usan para atravesar todo lo tangible y para transportarse de un lugar a otro. Si lo cruzamos nos llevará hasta su hacedor.

Y de inmediato, Helena tomó mi mano y ambos cruzamos el portal. Aparecimos en el estacionamiento vacío de un gran almacén. Miramos a nuestro alrededor y no encontramos ninguna pista relevante, hasta que una voz muy profunda llamó nuestra atención. 

—Al fin puedo verlos en persona, me preguntaba cuando llegarían a aparecer…
