Introducing, your emotions...

#### Hey steemfriends, I hope the steem is flowing well for you these days. We're approaching some major changes up ahead, (but when aren't we, honestly?) so I'd like to offer my encouragement to…stay the course!

### In this post, I'm changing up the pace a bit to tell you a little more about myself, and introduce another topic that I will be posting more on going forward…That topic is...

#### A lot of folks try to avoid these mysterious things…and the word itself brings up fear (*eek - that’s one of them!* ) in a lot of people.  I’m here to let you know, they are not to be shunned!

### In fact, emotions are an amazing gift, and source of wisdom and energy.

In my altersteem life, I am licensed to train and do one-to-one consultations with people in what is called - *Dynamic Emotional Integration*®.  This is a framework developed by Karla McLaren, M.Ed, and it is the only unified theory of emotions that gives people a useful understanding of how emotions work, and skills with which to work with them.

There’s a lot of information in DEI around what the messages and gifts of emotions are, how to work with them, and how to integrate their beauty into your life. It’s a lot, truly, and it’s life changing.  It's not therapy, but it is helpful and empowering to people who may be struggling with little critters like anger, sadness, or anxiety. DEI is a way to befriend your emotions, and start making them allies instead of enemies. 

If you’re a person interested in self-growth and betterment, then you might want to pay attention and stay tuned! I will let you know that once you begin to unravel the emotions from the knotted mess that life (and especially society’s attitude towards them) has put them in, it will be a life-long process. But it’s soo worth it.

I’ll leave it here for now, as just an introduction. In my next post, I’ll say a bit more about how I came to this work and what it has done for me.
