IOTA is the new kid on the block in and it's one of the most promising projects. IOTA isn't hyped and that makes it also one of the most undervalued projects. The main innovation behind IOTA is the Tangle, a revolutionary new blockless distributed ledger, which is scalable, lightweight and for the first time ever makes it possible to transfer value without any fees. The IOT alliance is founded to support the creation of a secure, scalable, interoperable, and trusted 'Internt of Things' ecosystem. Getting companies behind IOTA is a serious step toward global and wide acceptance. This alliance ensures that further developments for IOTA and IOT have been established. Along with academic research, the IOTA Foundation is actively developing the Tangle ecosystem in an effort to create an environment that’s functional, as well as attractive to enterprise and individual users.

In need to admit that IOTA is not the most practical project yet. Their light wallet and payment system still need to have a lot of updates but the [updates](https://medium.com/iota-ucl/the-iota-wallet-time-for-a-refresh-d4207a16ea5f) are already announcement yesterday. The development team is very quick in their development and has already overcome bigger challenges. Buying IOTA today means buying before the major adoption. I think that IOTA will make a big boom when it's more user friendly and traded on more exchanges. But that is my opinion, decide for yourself if this is your project or not.
