Hola a todos para esta semana en [Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/splinterlands-community-engagement-challenge-splinterlands-learning-journey) el tema es "¡Mi camino de aprendizaje en Splinterlands!".
Es un tema realmente interesante ya que me puse a pensar todo lo que he pasado en Splinterlands.

Al entrar al Splinterlands  ya tenia conocimiento en juegos de cartas, el que mas tiempo he pasado fue con Yu-Gi-Oh! y hasta ahora lo juego pero ocasionalmente.
Debido a tambien que he jugado varios juegos de estrategia y todo tipo de juegos y a la vez soy bastante competitivo, no me rindo hasta llegar a un rango en especifico o ser uno de los mejores dentro de un juego.

Yo comienzo en Splinterlands en Abril del 2021 cuando estaban los Untamed si mal no recuerdo, aunque no habia jugado seguido, vi las ediciones de Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers y en Rebellion es donde me voy por un tiempo luego vuelvo al Splinterlands.

# ¿Cuál fue el mayor obstáculo que enfrentaste al aprender Splinterlands?

Debido a los juegos cartas que habia jugado ya tenia algo de conocimiento, pero mi mayor obstaculo fue aprender primero las habilidades de las cartas y como se activaban estas habilidades, y las reglas de combate.
Al presenciar en Chaos Legion y salieran nuevas cartas tenia que aprender de nuevo otras habilidades y nuevos tipos de estrategia.

# ¿Qué característica o mecánica te costó más comprender del todo?

Lo que me costo fue en crear combos o estrategias con las cartas que tenia y eran pocas y las cartas que venian es Standard ya que no sabia que se podia rentar cartas.
Tambien en el tema de torneos ya que pedia una cantidad de STAKED SPS y POWER en cartas para entrar a torneos, despues de un tiempo investigando ya podia entrar rentando la cantidad necesaria para entrar a estos torneos y probar mis estrategias.
Cuando lo descubri ya podia hacer unos combos nuevos debido a que tenia esas cartas ya que eran de otras ediciones.

# ¿Qué consejo le darías a tu yo del pasado, o a un jugador nuevo, que empiece hoy?

Mi consejo a mi yo del pasado seria que rentara varias cartas para asi poder ganar las cartas rewards en esos tiempos ya que son cartas muy valiosas, tambien que no piense mucho en las batallas ya que al batallar me ponia a pensar que pondra el enemigo, tal vez pone esto o tal vez no y si juega con magia entre otras cosas lo cual me hacia doler la cabeza especialmente cuando entraba en torneos.

Para los nuevos jugadores seria que empiezen la [Campaña](https://next.splinterlands.com/campaign) de Splinterlands ya que es un buen modo para saber mas de como jugar tus cartas, las posiciones y formar combos. Tambien que prueben el modo [Practica](https://next.splinterlands.com/practice) ya que te proporciona todas las cartas para que conozcas las cartas y pruebes las estrategias que hay dentro del juego.
Comenzar con el ranked Modern ya que solo se juega las dos ultimas ediciones que seria: Rebellion y Conclave Arcana y rentar cartas en Peakmonsters del formato Modern cartas de Lvl 1 es mas que suficiente para ganar batallas en el rango bronce - plata siempre en cuando se renten cartas por 1 DEC que hay varias de Lvl 1 para poder comenzar Splinterlands.

# ¿Hay algún jugador, guía o momento en particular que te haya ayudado a crecer más? 

En mi caso fueron los jugadores pues aprendi viendolos en los Top Battles varios jugadores ya que asi veia sus combos y poco a poco ganaba mas conocimiento acerca de Splinterlands y asi creando mis propias estrategias como tambien imitandolas.

# <center> NOTAS FINALES :</center>

Al escribir este post me trajo bastantes recuerdos de como inicie en Splinterlands y como avanze, realmente cambie mucho a como jugaba antes y ahora, se podria decir la mayoria en combos y todas las cartas en el formato Modern ya que en el Wild no recuerdo tanto algunas cartas.
Un ultimo consejo seria que confies en tus cartas, en las cuales has puesto y batalles con lo creas sea conveniente en esa batalla. Como dice la frase: **"Ten fe en el corazón de las cartas"**.

Hello everyone, for this week's [Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge](https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/splinterlands-community-engagement-challenge-splinterlands-learning-journey), the theme is "My Splinterlands Learning Journey!"
It's a really interesting topic as it got me thinking about everything I've been through in Splinterlands.

When I entered Splinterlands, I was already familiar with card games. The one I've spent the most time on was Yu-Gi-Oh!, and up until now, I only play it occasionally.
Because I've also played several strategy games and all kinds of other games, and I'm also quite competitive, I don't give up until I reach a specific rank or become one of the best in a game.

I started in Splinterlands in April 2021 when the Untamed were out if I remember correctly, although I hadn't played continuously, I saw the Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers editions and Rebellion is where I went for a while then I returned to Splinterlands.

# What was the biggest obstacle you faced when learning Splinterlands?

Because of the card games I had played I already had some knowledge, but my biggest obstacle was first learning the card abilities and how to activate those abilities, and the combat rules.
As I watched Chaos Legion and new cards came out, I had to relearn other abilities and new types of strategy.

# Which feature or mechanic took the longest to fully understand?

What was difficult for me was creating combos or strategies with the cards I had, and they were few, and the cards that came were Standard since I didn't know you could rent cards.
Also on the topic of tournaments, since I asked for a certain amount of STAKED SPS and POWER cards to enter tournaments, after some research I was able to enter by renting the necessary amount to enter these tournaments and test my strategies.
When I discovered renting cards, I could already make new combos because those cards were from other editions.

#  What advice would you give to your past self—or a brand-new player—starting today?

My advice to my past self would be to rent several cards so I could win the reward cards in those times since they are very valuable cards, also not to think too much about the battles since when battling I would start to think about what the enemy would put up, maybe he would put this or maybe not and if he played with magic among other things which made my head hurt especially when I entered tournaments.


For new players, it would be best to start the [Campaign](https://next.splinterlands.com/campaign) of Splinterlands since it is a good mode to learn more about how to play your cards, positions and form combos. Also, try the [Practice](https://next.splinterlands.com/practice) mode since it provides you with all the cards so you know the cards and test the strategies within the game.
Start with ranked Modern since only the last two editions are played, which would be: Rebellion and Conclave Arcana and rent cards in [Peakmonsters](https://peakmonsters.com) from the Modern format, Lvl 1 cards are more than enough to win battles in the bronze - silver range as long as you rent cards for 1 DEC since there are several Lvl 1 ones to be able to start Splinterlands.

# Are there any specific players, guides, or moments that helped you grow the most?

In my case, it was the players, as I learned by watching several players in Top Battles, as I saw their combos and little by little I gained more knowledge about Splinterlands, creating my own strategies as well as imitating them.

# <center> Final Notes :</center>

Writing this post brought back a lot of memories of how I started in Splinterlands and how I progressed. I really changed a lot from how I played before and now. I could say most of the combos and all the cards were in the Modern format, since I don't remember some cards that well in Wild.
One last piece of advice would be to trust your cards, the ones you've placed, and fight with whatever you think is best in that battle. As the saying goes: **Have faith in the heart of the cards**.
