Mixing Rocks in Movement - Monochrome and Color

## Last week I learned a bit about photography
Thanks to @peter2017 I know now that some target scene I shoot are not perfect for a monochrome edit - today I have some rocks in the Black Sea with waves edited as coloured GIF as well as in *Monochrome* style and would love to hear your feedback on what looks better - colour or black&white?

The photos have been taken this morning by me not at the famous Rock Coast of the Black Sea near Burgas, but directly at the city beach of Burgas - there are not many of them but I like them. I usually do some fitness work there to bring the fat body in at least a little bit of shape.

i like the monochrome photos and the texture of the seaweed growing on the rocks. If it was possible to capture a closeup of the water hitting the rock i think that could looks quite nice as well.

the picture is very interesting in my opinion.
if you take it with a DSLR camera it will be more interesting when using a high speed setting, so that it can be seen clearly with the splash of water. in the world of photography, it is commonly called splash photography.

I also prefer in this case the b&w version. It gives more dynamic and the hard contrast adds to the illusion of motion. Next time try  a long exposure. But this would require a tripod and a ND-Filter (Neutraldichtefilter).

Thanks @peter2017 - hmmm ND filter - I only use my smartphone camera and even have not used any real camera since ages. But I have a Canon at home still - need to check what features are included there (I hardly used).

The coloured photos need some splashing water to be interesting. The b&w versions have more tension of their own. For me, the monochrome pictures are the winners.
Curiously, I am pretty sure that with long exposures the coloured versions would win over b&w.

I agree with you. Beside of that, colors on the gif seems to be a bit pale and desaturated.
