Hi Steemians.

2018 has come up with a surprise for all of the steem user with a massive STEEM price spike.
But as a blogger we have lot of complications in our reward calculation,because now we have four currencies to keep eye on
1. Steem post reward currency that is show in post
2. SBD
3.Steem
4. USD or our local currency that we spend in our daily life.
There are many automated tools that do the job of upcoming reward calculation but doing the job manually is also write fun and simple if it's understood properly.

Because of the recent Update on steemitblog it says that the curation rewards of early upvoted post that goes to the author will now be sent back to the reward pool.
So let's assume that 75% of total reward will now go to author. So without further a do here is the calculation with example.

Let's say me post has 10$ pending reward shown on steemit or busy.org blog.

Now simply multiply this number with 0.75 and you will get author reward because it's 75% author share and 25% curator share.

10 x 0.75 = 7.5

Now divide the 75% author share with 2.

7.5 /  2 = 3.75

Now we are going to get 3.75 SBD 

and 3.75 worth of STEEMPOWER

to calculate steempower divide the number with current steem market price.

For example steem is now 6$ so 3.75 / 6 = 0.625

in short for a 10$ post reward we are going to get 3.75 SBD and 0.625 SP

It's always quite fun to calculate your post reward and make a rough note of your account future value.

Here is the short formula

Post reward x 0.75 = value1
value1 divided by 2 = value2
value2 divided by currenct steem price in usd = value3

Now value2 is our SBD reward
and value3 is our SteemPower Reward.
