While curating gaming contents this morning, I noticed [this announcement post](https://leofinance.io/@psyberx/announcing-psyber-crates-and-how-you-can-obtain-them-dont-miss-out-there-are-only-100000-in-total----) by @psyberx concerning "CRATES" airdrop coming up in 60 days for all LVL holders.  The post gained some good traction of comments and that showed how much people are eager to participate in the PSYBER X game that is still in build. This would be another #play2earn game added to the Hive ecosystem, with its token built on the hive-engine protocol.

The announcement post made me dig a little more first to know more about the PSYBER X game as well as the LVL token. The module of the airdrop has a way to make the LVL token become a high ranking asset in the hive-engine market sooner as well as giving more value to the PSYBER X game that is expected to launch sooner.

**PSYBER** is a cyber punk themed battle royale created by the [Royal Reptile Studios](https://www.royalreptilestudios.com/psyberx). The game is envisioned to open up opportunities for the gaming community, artists, and content creators. **PSYBER X** is expected to feature NFTs in the form of power up cards (Speed, experience boosts, increased damage), weapons, cosmetics, and housing for the gaming experience.  PSYBER X  players would earn **LVL** token in the game, which can be exchanged for HIVE on hive-engine. Contents about PSYBER X would be another addition to the bulk of blockchain gaming information, data, reports and tutorials that would be read on 1UP community and Hive posts.

PSYBER CRATES airdrop would qualify holders an additional benefit of having a 30% discount on all CRATES purchased which would be possible with HBD/Hive. The price of each CRATE is predicted to start at $20, however, the airdrop qualifiers would stand a chance of purchasing CRATES for $14.00.,.

Further, it's awesome to see that PSYBER also plans to incorporate commerce to its gaming ecosystem. That would provide additional usecases fopr the in-game assets as well as HIVE. The below quoted paragraph speaks volumes on this.

In response to the [LVL airdrop announcement](https://leofinance.io/@psyberx/announcing-psyber-crates-and-how-you-can-obtain-them-dont-miss-out-there-are-only-100000-in-total----), LVL token has already received a market boost in terms of price and volume barely 72 hours after the announcement. That buzz shows how many are getting aware the potentials in blockchain #play2earn gaming as a new way to sustainable income. 

From less than 0.0002 HIVE per LVL on December 5, the token market experienced a huge demand which raised the token price to 0.0015 HIVE each. As at the time of creating this post, [LVL](https://hive-engine.com/?p=market&t=LVL) recorded a 24h trade Volume of 3,651 HIVE ($6,644.66). That is already a huge profit for hive-engine token traders. While LVL looks small in price, the huge trading volume opens up opportunity for trading profits.

I first noticed LVL token as part of LP rewards for ONEUP dieselpools. Though I couldn't tell its potential. Now it's been revealed to be a gaming related token, it deserves some attention. Many hive users who bought into DEC and SPT from the inception can tell how profitable the decision was. Thus, even non-game players can still profit from the buzz around the LVL market.

### Tokenomics of The LVL token reveals its Prospect
Report has it that LVL token will only ever have 500,000,000 tokens(created on the HIVE blockchain). Out of that supply, 50% would be distributed to the community perhaps through the airdrop. Part of the token supply (20%) will be secured on the game platform as a reserve for players for in-game transactions. Asides PSYBER X, there are also plans to expand the use-case of LVL to many other gaming genres.
