I've been following @Belemo for long and I've watches his steady growth and wealth accrued from playing Splinterlands game. I finally made up my mind to begin stacking up my SPS while the price still stays around 10 Cents. I started with 200 SPS and I'm looking forward to a reaching a goal of 5,000 SPS tokens before the end of the SPS airdrop.

It's amazing how playing games has become a lucrative job and  is employing millions of investors around the world as the crypto gaming market capitalization stay around $24 Billion.

I joined Hive as a socialmedia for sharing contents and playing games here was one of the least anticipated activities. However, with the huge set-up around the 1UP community and the emergence of several play2earn games here on Hive, it seems that earning from gaming and gaming related activities would become one of the  highest paying after witness block producing rewards.

[Splinterlands game](https://splinterlands.com?ref=uyobong) has set the pace that one can earn a steady and reasonable daily income without writing a single post on this blockchain and we're already seeing other games growing in daily transactions and user engagement as well as with player rewards.

On Hive blockchain, many users with diverse interests converge at the game spot. Some are game developers, some are players, some are investors and some are narrators. Each of the four categories of persons are quite important in building the economy of the games. The developers buidl the game, the players actually engage their skills in playing, The investors give the gaming assets value by the trades and the narrators promote the games with their contents. Good enough, the Hive blockchain has mechanisms that reward all these  Four sets of users amazingly.

Everyone who consistently plays his/her parts actually gets so well rewarded that it can become the only and tangible source of living. Those who can combine any two or three of the roles would actually be doing well. I had stayed at one point for a long time and I want to expand my horizon as we await the next leap in the

This looks like the very beginning of my affinity with the  Splinterlands game. There's an African proverb that says _"if you can't pay tax, at least you should be able to avoid taskmasters"_. I think the years that playing Splinterlands game looked like an impossibility for me is over.

I started up my engagement with purchasing 200 SPS from Hive-engine while it continues to dip and same was transferred to my Splinterlands wallet. This is the first time I did this related action and the whole UI/UX of the game looks superb.

Below, you can find a screenshot of my Splinterlands wallet before and after Staking SPS. I now join the league of other SPS stakers top earn some more SPS while over hundred days of SPS airdrop still lasts. I imagine why that long time of free token airdrops and I can't actually figure out.

The hive-engine market for SPS token continues to dip for several weeks now. We've seen a steady rally between 10 to 20 Cents from the inception of year 2022 and there could be no better time than now to buy into the gaming governance token. Though almost 99% of the tokens so far earned from the airdrop has been used o purchase more SPT, I think it's a better time to also go for more SPS.

I don't know how long this dip will remain, but I think that a daily target of purchasing at least 50 SPS daily could help me reach 1,500 tokens at he end  of February and thereby bringing my holdings closer to the dream 5k SPS holdings before the end of the airdrop.
