## Project Blank is now a Decentralized Polling Platform (DPP)
It's official that we now have a [decentralized polling platform](https://leofinance.io/@leofinance/introducing-polls-on-threads-decentralized-voting-directly-on-hive-using-custom-jsons) and that's on Projectblank built on the Hive blockchain. This is a novel feature of the 25-day old blockchain based microblogging dapp that will make hive blockchain stand-out among other blockchains with socialmedia functions. Kudos to Khal and everyone in the LeoFinance team who are contributing to make [Leothreads](https://alpha.leofinance.io/) look this beautiful.

Polls on  Projectblank is the beginning of a future where all voting would be done on a blockchain. This includes Government voting, corporate voting, shareholder voting, local village voting, class president voting and all sorts of cool things. Today, I see the possibility of using Project Blank polls to serve in academic researches and surveys.

very special in Project Blank polls is that votes are all decentralized and immutable. This means that you also can have the results and voting procedures in real-time and on mobile devices. There is no room for possible rigging of results which has become a thing of concern in the present Nigerian elections.

Asides blogging on Hive, I love undertaking social and industrial fact finding. One of the ways we gather data for such research endeavours is by the use of questionnaires. I was trying to model how a threadcast could be used to house a whole research questionnaire. It is actually possible.

## Decentralized Questionnaire is a Thing on Project Blank
I created a [threadcast](https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads/view/uyobong/re-leothreads-wkhijptz) as  Questionnaire to measure #Hive users' Reasons for using LeoThreads. Responses to the decentralized Questionnaire were based on a 4-point likert scale, viz: Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree and Strongly Disagree. Each of the Four responses were to be weighted and scored to enable the quantification of the respondents' responses. 

A threadcast demands that is a series of threads linked together, usually, the second hosted as a second level comment under the first and so on. In my case, all of the threads in the threadcast are supposed to be fitted with polls so that a respondent would have to attend to every thread in the threadcast. ## Observations and FeedBacks on Project Blank Polls
On trying to host the [2nd thread](https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads/view/uyobong/re-uyobong-lyja98vl) as a comment under the [first thread](https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads/view/uyobong/re-leothreads-wkhijptz), I observed that though the polls were inserted in the thread's editor as shown in the thumbnail, after submitting the thread, it failed to capture the poll options.

At first, I felt it was a network error, I tried another comment and discovered the poll options were not captured. This also happened with the following threads in the threadcast.

It therefore follows that Polls on Project Blank cannot be hosted in a thread that is a second tier comment under a parent thread. I think that could be worked on. 

If that is taken care of, it would be easier to host surveys of multiple questions as a threadcast and respondents would easily go through all of it.

Polls on threads has come to stay and looks like the most appealing feature so far on Project Blank. We hope to see JSON transactions and comments skyrocked via the leofinance front end of Hive courtesty of polls,

> Threads are actually contributing over 10% of the total comments made on the entire Hive blockchain every single month as of right now.

Surely, Project Blank would help converge everyone to Hive. Polls is one of those selling features with a broad base of usage.

It can only get better! Indeed.
