The Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples: if you know these things, happy are you if you do them. That means that we will have happiness and joy when we do what the Word of God tells us. There is no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey. That is how an old hymn in the church put it. We need to be happy. God wants us to be happy. But there is no other way to live happily than to live in obedience to the Word of God.

How can we know the word of God if we don't study the Bible? The Bible is the only document which contains the the Word of God. It brings the Truth about God to us. When we study our Bible, that is when we will know what God wants us to do. We cannot know what is the will of God without reading and studying our Bible. To know what the Word of God tells us, and to be happy for doing it, we must study our Bible regularly.

The question about how many times we should study the Bible has been clearly answered in the Bible. The Bible says that we should meditate on the Word of God day and night. We must read and meditate on the Bible day and night. The Word of God must illuminate our entire being. We have to read our Bible regularly.
