Дивовижна птаха залетіла до нас у двір. Правда, вона не захотіла позувати перед фотокамерою, але дуже хотілося зробити світлину цієї красуні хоча би наблизивши зображення за допомогою зума.
Здогадалася зразу ж, що це - горлиця. Але здивувало забарвлення цієї птахи, адже горлиць звикла бачити сіреньких, а тут таке різнобарв'я! На допомогу прийшов GOOGLE. Виявилось, до нас завітала справжня лісова дика горлиця, яку ще називають вяхирь і припутень. Цей шляхетний дикий голуб любить вити гнізда на високих хвойних деревах. Тим самим він оберігає своє потомство від посягань хижаків, крупніші з яких можуть полювати навіть на дорослих особин.

Через свій відносно великий розмір цей вид горлиці є об'єктом полювання. Розмах крил горлиці може досягати 70 сантиметрів, а вага коливається від 1 до 2 кілограмів.
Відкладають яйця припутні у найпростіше гніздечко, звите з гілочок і нічим не вистлане. Зазвичай самка відкладає 1-2 яйця, які на протязі 17 днів пара горлиць по черзі зігрівають своїми тілами, поки не з'являться на світ пташенята. Завдяки короткому строку висиджування потомства приплід цих птахів буває 2-3 рази протягом року. Є одна важлива особливість поведінки цих пташок: якщо злякати припутня, що сидить на гнізді на яйцях, - він після втечі зі страху вже на гніздо не повернеться. Тому дуже важливо не лякати горлиць у дикій природі.
На жаль, кількість припутнів поступово зменшується. І не тільки через мисливців, у яких вони не сильно популярні як здобич. Значної шкоди популяції приносить вирубка лісів, їх основного місця проживання.
Дуже рада, що саме ця пташка залетіла у наш двір. Нехай ніхто її не ображає, і нехай на її крилах пошвидше прийде мир на нашу землю!
