La rueda del tiempo es una serie de fantasía épica basada en la saga de novelas del mismo nombre que nos muestra la historia de diferentes personajes con habilidades fantásticas que tienen que atender el llamado del destino y mostrar su valía. 

En la serie particularmente (por lo menos en esta primera temporada), nos encontramos con que el foco principal está en Moraine, una Aes Sedai azul (las Aes Sedai son un grupo organizado de mujeres muy poderosas que tienen acceso al "poder único") que se embarco en una mision de busqueda junto a su compañero con el objetivo de encontrar al "Dragon", quien se cree es un poderoso ser que esta destinado a salvar el mundo o acabar con el. En el camino recluta a cinco jovenes, pues ella cree que son especiales y ahí es donde comienza la verdadera historia. 

>The Wheel of Time is an epic fantasy series based on the saga of novels of the same name that shows us the story of different characters with fantastic abilities who have to attend the call of destiny and show their worth. 

>In the series particularly (at least in this first season), we find that the main focus is on Moraine, a blue Aes Sedai (the Aes Sedai are an organized group of very powerful women who have access to the "unique power") who embarked on a quest mission with her partner in order to find the "Dragon", who is believed to be a powerful being who is destined to save the world or end it. Along the way she recruits five youths, as she believes they are special and that is where the real story begins.

En la rueda del tiempo nos encontramos en un mundo con subdivisiones y diferentes áreas, pero el alto mando por decirlo de alguna forma son las Aes Sedai, mujeres que básicamente pueden manipular la energía y hacer magia con ella, siendo el fin de esto servir a los demás y mantener el orden. Ahora, ¿los hombres no pueden utilizar el poder único?, de hecho, si pueden, pero lo tienen prohibido, porque en la Era de la leyenda, donde los hombres y las mujeres podían usar el poder único por igual para hacer el bien, un grupo liderado por un hombre en particular, se dedicó a buscar otras formas de adquirir más poder, corrompiendo así el poder único y creando caos en el mundo. Desde ese momento, los hombres tienen prohibido encauzar (termino utilizado para referirse a la habilidad de manipular la energía). 

Cuando un hombre tiene la habilidad de encauzar el poder único en el presente, empieza a corromperse, por lo que las Aes Sedai siempre están sellando sus poderes. Esta situación y ciertas disparidades crean controversia en el mundo de la rueda del tiempo, pero todo es por un bien mayor, pues en esta historia el flujo del tiempo debe seguir su curso y cada quien tiene su destino.

Now, men cannot use the unique power?, in fact, they can, but it is forbidden, because in the Age of legend, where men and women could use the unique power equally to do good, a group led by one man in particular, was dedicated to search for other ways to acquire more power, corrupting the unique power and creating chaos in the world. From that moment on, men are prohibited from channeling (a term used to refer to the ability to manipulate energy). 

>When a man has the ability to channel the unique power in the present, he begins to corrupt himself, so the Aes Sedai are always sealing his powers. This situation and certain disparities create controversy in the world of the wheel of time, but it is all for a greater good, since in this story the flow of time must take its course and everyone has their destiny.

Esta serie con su estética e historia les recordará un poco al señor de los anillos, Game of Thrones, Las crónicas de Narnia y producciones de ese estilo. A mi parecer la escenografía es muy pulcra, las locaciones, vestuarios y tonalidades de las escenas van muy acorde con la temática de la serie y ciertos momentos específicos que se muestran. La intro es visualmente espectacular, muy artística. Lo visual, unido con el soundtrack que es misterioso y místico, crean un resultado muy atrayente.  

Si hablamos de los personajes, me gusta que hay varios, pues de esa forma el espectador puede observar como se van desarrollando diversas historias que de alguna forma se entrelazan entre sí. Tenemos hombres y mujeres con personalidades diferentes, buscando su misión en la vida, teniendo la certeza de que a la rueda del tiempo nada se le escapa.  

La diversidad presentada es agradable a la vista, la serie no solo nos muestra un tipo de belleza, sino que hay muchos personajes con características físicas muy diferentes, lo cual resulta interesante y... ah, hablando de personajes. No puedo omitir mencionar que nuestra querida Moraine es interpretada nada más y nada menos que por Rosamund Pike, una actriz de gran calibre mejor conocida por su interpretación en "Gone girl" (espectacular película, la actuación de Rosamund impecable).

>This series with its aesthetics and story will remind us a bit of Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Chronicles of Narnia and productions of that style. In my opinion the set design is very accurate, the locations, costumes and tonalities of the scenes are very consistent with the theme of the series and certain specific moments that are shown. The intro is visually spectacular, very artistic. The visuals, together with the soundtrack that is mysterious and mystical, create a very appealing result.  

>If we talk about the characters, I like that there are several, because in that way the viewer can see how different stories develop and somehow intertwine with each other. We have men and women with different personalities, searching for their mission in life, being certain that nothing escapes the wheel of time.  

>The diversity presented is pleasing to the eye, the series not only shows us one type of beauty, but there are many characters with very different physical characteristics, which is interesting and.... ah, speaking of characters. I can't omit to mention that our beloved Moraine is played by none other than Rosamund Pike, an actress of high caliber best known for her performance in "Gone girl" (spectacular movie, Rosamund's performance is impeccable).

Una de las cosas que más me gusta de la rueda del tiempo, es la conexión que tienen las Aes Sedai con sus guardianes. El vínculo que forman se hace tan fuerte, que incluso el guardián puede morir si este se rompe. El guardián de Moraine es un espectáculo y la relación que tienen los dos es muy interesante, porque a pesar de que son extremadamente unidos, no son pareja como muchos podrían pensar y eso es algo muy curioso de ver desarrollar en varios aspectos. 

A mí me encanta la fantasía y esta serie está muy bien hecha, así que me gusto. Les cuento que cuando la vi yo estaba medio "criseada" con preguntas existenciales, por lo que la serie me hizo un poco de ruido porque toca temas como la reencarnación, la energía, como ciertas cosas son lo que son y todo sigue un flujo temporal predeterminado... yo andaba como que "ay nooo, mi crisis existencial está siendo alterada", pero después se me paso, puesto que mientras pasaba el tiempo, me adentre en la espiritualidad y comprendí que la serie evidentemente tiene influencias de creencias espirituales (me termino gustando más).

Si te gusta la fantasía épica con un leve estilo medieval, la espiritualidad, escenarios visualmente agradables y mucha magia, esta serie seguro la disfrutaras. 

>One of the things I like the most about The Wheel of Time is the connection that the Aes Sedai have with their guardians. The bond they form becomes so strong, that the guardian can even die if it is broken. Moraine's guardian is a showstopper and the relationship the two have is very interesting, because even though they are extremely close, they are not a couple as many might think and that is a very curious thing to see develop in several ways. 

>I love fantasy and this series is very well done, so I liked it. I tell you that when I saw it I was a bit "triggered" with existential questions, so the series made me a little noise because it touches on issues such as reincarnation, energy, how certain things are what they are and how everything follows a predetermined time flow... I was like "oh nooo, my existential crisis is being altered", but then it passed, since as time went by, I got into spirituality and I understood that the series obviously has influences of spiritual beliefs (I ended up liking it more).

>If you like epic fantasy with a slight medieval style, spirituality, visually pleasing settings and lots of magic, you will enjoy this series for sure.
