I fell from the top of a tree when I was only 10 years old, I was so restless!, which caused a fracture in my spine, and it is well known that as a consequence I would never walk again.

I was always a restless person, although with a gentle personality, a little shy many times, the fact of having had that accident when I was just a child, made me grow inside me the desire to be reborn, and you know what? I simply wanted to live to the fullest whatever destiny had prepared for me.

I never wanted to set limits in life, I refused to give myself to misfortune, with determination I managed to be independent, nor did I want to be a burden to my family.

I grew up, I trained and studied, with the unconditional support of my parents, when I became an adult I knew love, and although I was condemned to that wheelchair, I never saw it as an obstacle, it was always my companion and most faithful confidant.

I also got married, and in the 30 years that my marriage lasted I enjoyed the love of my life, he was a being who loved me as I am, he was patient with me and showed the world that there are no limits when you truly love.

And although he left me alone some time ago, since he departed from this world, I always remember the joy he brought to my life, with that beautiful love we cultivated together, we used to laugh even at ourselves.

Every day I wake up with more desire to go on, even though I am alone and old, many people think I am limited, but for me there are no limits! I get up very early, get into my wheelchair as best I can, get dressed and go for a walk in the neighborhood, I like the freshness of the morning!

I always walk on the platform alone, before the "pity" look of many people, if they only knew that I have achieved much more than they have been able to do, and how immensely happy I feel for all that I have experienced.

This is how my days go by, always passing through the same street, careful and serene, waiting for the call of my beloved from heaven. Although a bit tragic the way I ended up here, I prefer to see the kind side of things, the one where life was benevolent with me, and as a great lesson, why not?, there can always be a happy ending.

Caí de lo más alto de un árbol con apenas 10 años de edad ¡vaya que era inquieta!, lo que generó una fractura en mi columna, y ya es bien sabido que como consecuencia no volvería a caminar.

Siempre fui una persona inquieta, aunque con una personalidad apacible, algo tímida muchas veces, el hecho de haber tenido ese accidente siendo apenas una niña, hizo crecer en mi interior las ganas de renacer, y ¿saben que? Simplemente quise vivir a plenitud lo que me tuviera preparado el destino.

Nunca quise ponerme límites en la vida, me negué a entregarme a la desdicha, con determinación logré ser independiente, tampoco quise ser una carga para mi familia.

Crecí, me formé y estudié, con el apoyo incondicional de mis padres, al ser una adulta conocí el amor, y aunque estaba condenada a esa silla de ruedas, nunca la vi como un obstáculo, siempre fue mi compañera y más fiel confidente.

También me casé, y en 30 años que duró mi matrimonio gocé de lo lindo con el amor de mi vida, era un ser que me amaba tal cual como soy, me tuvo paciencia y le demostró al mundo que no hay límites cuando se ama de verdad.

Y aunque me dejó sola hace algún tiempo, ya que partió de este mundo, siempre recuerdo la alegría que traía a mi vida, con ese amor tan bonito que cultivamos juntos, solíamos reírnos hasta de nosotros mismos.

Cada día despierto con más ganas de seguir adelante, aunque ya sola y anciana, muchos piensan que estoy limitada, pero para mi ¡no hay límites!. Me levanto muy temprano, subo como puedo a mi silla de ruedas, me arreglo y salgo a dar un paseo por el barrio, ¡Me gusta la frescura de la mañana!.

Siempre voy por el andén sola, ante la mirada de "lastima" de mucha gente, si supieran que he logrado mucho más de lo que ellos han sido capaces de hacer, y lo inmensamente feliz que me siento de todo lo que viví.

Así pasan mis días, siempre tránsito por la misma calle, cuidadosa y serena, esperando el llamado de mi amado desde el cielo. Aunque un poco trágica la forma como terminé aquí, prefiero ver el lado amable de las cosas, ese donde la vida fue benevolente conmigo, y como gran lección ¿por qué no?, siempre puede haber un final feliz.
