 <center> <div class=text-justify> ¡Lo que todos estábamos esperando! El inicio de la temporada de béisbol en Venezuela ocurrió este sábado 22 de octubre. Sin embargo, en Maracaibo sucedió este martes 25 cuando el equipo de las Águilas del Zulia recibieron en el estadio Luis Aparicio «El Grande» a los Cardenales de Lara. En una jornada con duelo de picheo por parte de ambas novenas, los rapaces lograron imponerse con pizarra de 2-1 gracias a un hit impulsor de Ángel Reyes, quien se trajo a la lomita al pelotero Jackson Chourio. De esta manera, el equipo zuliano consiguió su primera victoria de la temporada.  # ¡De vuelta el béisbol! La alegría de la fanaticada se sintió. Para los zulianos, estos meses son muy importantes y en Maracaibo mucho más porque llega la gaita, la feria y la pelota. En la apertura hubo retraso, habían cosas por acomodar y el protocolo no se cumplió al pie de la letra. Asistí al estadio y estuve en el terreno de juego junto a mi equipo de trabajo y otros colegas periodistas. Entre charlas, risas y tertulias, nos preguntamos unos con otros sobre los hermanos Chourio, quienes son llamados los «Súper Prospectos» de esta temporada.  En el juego, Águilas parece tener un buen picheo, hasta ahora no ha permitido muchas rayitas en la pizarra, sin embargo, veremos qué sucede con el bate de los aguiluchos en esta temporada.  Luego que sonó el himno nacional, cada uno a sus lugares y solo se escuchó la voz de play ball. Los fanáticos no dejaban de entrar al estadio, dos horas después del juego, aún seguían en las colas para poder acceder a las instalaciones del Luis Aparicio. Yo estaba feliz, estar en un juego de béisbol profesional y cubrirlo como periodista es un orgullo para mí. Cada día voy sumando experiencia y eso es ganancia.   Tengo una gran ventaja, vivo cerca del estadio y me puedo ir caminando sin problemas, eso hace que vaya regularmente a los juegos. Me encontré con viejas caras y otras muy nuevas para mí. Es como regresar al lugar donde siempre quisiste estar. Lamentablemente, los últimos dos años el mundo fue golpeado fuertemente por el Covid-19 y el béisbol no escapó de eso. El fluir de esta temporada parece ser distinto, incluso, se observa un mayor número de periodistas cubriendo esta temporada. Los jugadores se ven con otro ánimo y ya comienza a gustar el rumbo que está tomando la liga. Águilas del Zulia no tiene grandes piezas en estos momentos, sin embargo, esperan contar con varios peloteros importantes desde la segunda semana de la temporada. Lo que más se ha hablado es la posible reincorporación del Grande Liga de los Reales de Kansas City, Salvador Pérez, ganador de la Serie Mundial en 2015 y jugador más valioso.  Esto apenas comienza, queda mucha tela que cortar en este campeonato. The start of the baseball season in Venezuela happened this Saturday, October 22. It's like going back to the place where you always wanted to be. Unfortunately, the last two years the world was hit hard by Covid-19 and baseball did not escape that. The flow of this season seems to be different, including a greater number of journalists covering this season. The players are in a different mood and are beginning to like the direction the league is taking. Águilas del Zulia does not have big pieces at the moment, however, they expect to have several important players from the second week of the season. The most talked about is the possible reinstatement of Kansas City Royals big leaguer Salvador Perez, winner of the World Series in 2015 and Most Valuable Player. This is just beginning, there is still a lot of fabric to cut in this championship. Sin lugar a dudas, se respira un ambiente de optimismo esta temporada, lo pude percibir cuando asistí al estadio José Bernardo Pérez para el segundo encuentro de los Navegantes del Magallanes, esperemos que los fanáticos asistan cada día más a los juegos y que vayan llegando los caballos, para así darle mayor emoción a una Temporada que superará el nivel de las últimas tres, eso tenlo por seguro.
