The vizier sees what happens in the kitchen, then the king did the same.

And everybody goes on an expedition to the lake with colorful fish.

And the king discovers a black palace that seems deserted. But is it really deserted?

###

# ON THE SEVENTH NIGHT

***Sheherazade said:***

It has come to me, O fortunate King, that when the fish began to speak, the maiden knocked the frying pan over with her wand, and went out through the place from which she had entered, and the wall welded together. Then the vizier stood up and said: “That is a matter that I cannot really hide from the king!" Then he went to the king and told him what had happened in his presence. And the king said, "I must see this with my own eyes!" And he sent for the fisherman and commanded him to come back with four fish like the first ones, and gave him three days for this purpose. But the fisherman quickly returned to the pond and immediately brought back four fish. Then the king ordered that he be given four hundred dinars; and, turning to the vizier, he said: "Prepare yourself, before me, these fish!" And the vizier answered: "I execute and I obey!" So he had the frying pan carried before the king and put the fish in it to fry, after having cleaned them well; then, once cooked on one side, he turned them over to the other side. And suddenly the wall of the kitchen split open and out came a black man like a buffalo among the buffaloes or one of the giants of the tribe of Had, and he held in his hand a branch of a green tree; and he said in a distinct and terrible voice: “Fish, O fish! do you still keep your old promise?" And the fish looked up from inside the pan and said, “Yes, indeed! yes, of course!" And in chorus they declaimed this construction of verse:

*If you come back, we will come back!*
*If you keep your promise, we'll keep ours!*
*But if you balk, we'll scream until you do well!*

Then the black guy approached the frying pan and knocked it over with the branch, and the fish burned and became black coal. The black man then departed by the same place from which he had entered. When he disappeared from the sight of all of them, the king said: “This is a matter about which we really cannot remain silent. Besides, there is no doubt, these fish must have a strange history." He then ordered the fisherman to come, and when the fisherman arrived, he said to him: “Where did this fish come from?" He answered: “From a pond situated between four hills behind the mountain which dominates your city! And the king turned to the fisherman and said: "How many days does it take to get there?" He replied: “O our lord the sultan! it only takes half an hour! And the sultan was greatly surprised and ordered the guards to accompany the fisherman at once. And the fisherman, much annoyed, began to secretly curse the efreet. And the king and all departed and went up into a mountain, and came down into a vast solitude which they had never seen before in their lives. And the sultan and the soldiers were surprised by this deserted expanse located between four mountains, and by this pond where fish of four different colors were playing: red, white, yellow, and blue. And the king stopped and said to the soldiers and to all who were present: “Have any of you seen this lake before in this place? They all replied, “Oh, no!" And the king said: “By Allah! I will not return to my city and sit on the throne of my kingdom until I know the truth about this lake and the fish in it!" And he ordered the soldiers to surround these mountains, and the soldiers did. Then the king called his vizier. This vizier was a scholar, a wise, eloquent man, versed in all the sciences. When he presented himself in the hands of the king, the king said to him: "I intend to do one thing and will first let you know: I have come up with the idea of isolating myself completely. tonight, and to seek alone the explanation of the mystery of this lake and its fish. You, therefore, you will stand at the door of my tent and you will say to the emirs, viziers, and chamberlains: “The sultan is indisposed and has given me the order not to let anyone into his house!" And you won't reveal my intention to anyone!" The vizier could hardly disobey. So the king disguised himself, took his sword, and slipped away from his entourage unseen. And he began to walk all night until morning without stopping, until the moment when the heat, which had become too strong, forced him to rest. After which he resumed walking for the rest of the day and the second night until morning. And behold, he saw in the distance a black thing; he rejoiced and said to himself: “It is likely that I will find someone there who will tell me this story of the lake and its fish!" As he approached this black thing, he saw that it was a palace built entirely of black stones, braced with large blades of iron, and he saw that in the entrance one door was open and the other closed. Then he rejoiced and, stopping at the door, he knocked softly; but, hearing no answer, he knocked a second and third time; then, hearing no answer, he knocked a fourth time, but very violently: and no one answered him. So he said to himself: “There is no doubt that this palace is deserted." Then, giving himself courage, he entered through the door of the palace and came to a corridor. There, aloud he said: “O masters of the palace, I am a stranger, a passer-by on the way, and I ask you for some provisions for the journey!" Then he repeated his request a second and a third time; but hearing no answer, he strengthened his heart and fortified his soul and entered through the corridor to the middle of the palace. And he found no one there. But he saw that the whole palace was sumptuously hung with tapestries and that, in the middle of the inner courtyard, there was a basin surmounted by four red gold lions, which let water gush from their mouths in sparkling pearls and precious stones; all around there were many birds which could not fly out of the palace, prevented by a large net which extended above the palace. And the king marveled at all this, but he was grieved that he could not find anyone who could finally reveal to him the riddle of the lake, the fish, the mountains, and the palace. Then he sat between two doors thinking deeply. But suddenly he heard a faint complaint which came as from a sad heart, and he heard a soft voice humming these verses:

*My sufferings! Oh! I could not keep them secret, and my lovesickness was revealed.*
*And now the sleep of my eyes has turned to insomnia in the night.*
*Oh, Love! He came to my voice, but also what tortures my thoughts!*
*Pity! Let me rest! And above all, don't go and visit She who is my whole soul, to make her suffer!*
*For She is my consolation in sorrows and perils!*

— ***At this point in her narration, Scheherazade saw the morning appear and quietly fell silent.***

Hmmm! Seeing the king head out to solve the mystery behind the pond and the mysterious fishes is intriguing. It's somehow starting to seem as though the efreet played tricks yet again. Well, who knows.

I do hope the fisherman doesn't find himself caught up in the middle of this whole drama.

As I read through the story, So many questions ran through my thoughts: would the king make it out alive? Would the secrets of the fisherman be discovered? I guess no one really knows.

I guess i'll leave these questions for the next episode to answer. This is quite deep and interesting.

This part of the story has got me into a rabbit hole :D

A lot of details have been revealed in this part of the story, which is why I'm a little confused. I still don't understand the role of the 4 colorful fish that's why it gives me a curiosity to learn more about the story. Unlike the other stories, this one has more unrevealed mysteries, which is why I still don't understand a lot.

What will happen to the fisherman? Now that the King knew where the source of the fish was, he had his guards watch over it.

I keep thinking that this is a trick of Efreet against the fisherman. He did keep his promise to the fisherman that he would not kill him but he gave him a problem. The fisherman is involved in a chaotic situation and the Sultan is also involved. I believe it was the plan for Efreet to get out of the vase that serves as his prison and to trick the fisherman into letting him go. In a way, this situation with the 4 fishes will serve as Efreet's revenge against the fisherman.

Anyway, I hope the true purpose of Efreet will be revealed in this story. And of course, I hope the mystery behind the 4 colorful fishes will be revealed.

Today after reading the story I would like to say that the way we were seeing that a lot of effort was being made to cook these fishes but then the way we were seeing that they were not cock and then the prince who was also the current was getting annoying.

Both the prince and the minister were very worried about what was going on, so they once again asked the fisherman to go him for bringing four fish and hours later brought four more fish, and both the minister thought that we both will see for themselves what happens inside the kitchen.

As soon as the fisherman brought the fish, the prince and the minister both came into the kitchen and saw what their servants were telling them that the frying pan and the black man were doing the same. After seeing all the things, he called the fisherman again and asked where he was catching these fishes, so he said that there is a river over there, I go there and he catches them and brings them back.

The princess said to the minister, "We will go there and see all the things like this, for such fish as I have never seen before, nor have you seen." They all then go to the place and the fisherman tells that I am catching from here and a camp is set up there in which the prince is sitting and the prince says to the minister that you have to see here at night.

But what happens. The minister sees the doors and he lock them again but he does not hear any sound so he enters them and he sees that there are many valuables lying there which he today never seen before. The story has become very interesting now let's see what happens in the upcoming part.

Will the minister tell everyone the truth to the prince or will he be tempted and not tell anything to anyone?

A lake with fish between deserted mountains near the city? This sounds like something to me. The fisherman is upset that they want to visit his lake and see the fish. What does the fisherman have to hide? Is it possible that he created the first fish farm in history? He has stolen water from all his neighbors to raise his goldfish?
We will see if the king is capable of discovering this mystery, although I am afraid that there is also magic and some beautiful lady.

I knew that is going to happen, the Efreet told the Fisher man to not to tell about this place to every one and also come here once in a day, but he First told the Vazier about it and after that, the Vazier told the king about all this.

As we have read in the previous part, the King is a great man and he alwayas care for his nation and do good decision to give them a happy life. When he get to know about this , he asked the Vazier that he will himself want to experience this what the vazier had told about the Fishes.

After seeing this with his eyes, the king asked about the Fisher man and he came and told every thing about the lake and colorful fishes to the sultan.

Sultan out of Curosity want to visit that place and he went to the place and saw this place with his own eyes, it was unbelivable to every one that this place exists near half distance to their palace.

Now the Fisher man is fell into the problem, he now realized his mistake but now he couldn't not do anything but to wait what will happen next.

This story of the Colourful fishes is full of mystery and intrigue. As I read through, I thought I would figure out why the fishes could talk, why the strange girl comes out of the wall every time the fishes are set to cook and now a black man described as a buffalo comes out from the same wall when the vizier experiments with the colourful fishes!

The king is highly curious as I am and set himself on an adventure to find the source of the mystery river and fishes. Could this be a trick by the Efreet? Also, the deserted palace is another mystery in this story. Who's is it? Who lives in the palace?

>but he was grieved that he could not find anyone who could finally reveal to him the riddle of the lake, the fish, the mountains, and the palace.

I hope someone (or maybe the Efreet) will appear in the next chapter to put the poor king out of his misery! 😂 I see the fisherman is not at all bothered by the mysteries as long as he received his dinars. So I think the king is the target of the story. I can't wait for the next chapter. Thanks for sharing. 😊😊

Well, the King is an example of a good leader. There are so many times when things like this will happen but the King of another country will not follow them to the lake not to talk of seeking the solution to the problem. He is brave and strong for him to have done that. Welk, a King is supposed to be brave and strong and that is why I am not surprised by his actions. At the same time, there are some Kings who are cowards. They are very scared and they will not even leave their palace.

Secondly, the King seems to be a nice man. I hope you know that if it were to be other Kings, they would have called for the fisherman and want him dead. Well, only a senseless King will do that. The King may have it in his mind that the fisherman wants to poison him or give him fishes that will take his life and the only way to stop that is by killing the fisherman. The King will believe that is the problem but it is not.

Only a sensible King will do what the King did. Instead of him to punish the fisherman or to lock him up, he took to the lake and even waited there all night. He truly wants to know the reason behind the fishes.

Now, I noticed something. I noticed that the King said that there was no lake at that place before. He asked the soldiers and they testified to the fact that there was no lake there. Now, let us imagine that the place is not frequently visited and that was why the lake decided to be there. Now, this is spiritual. I think they did not see the palace built with black stones before but the King saw it at that night when he was trying to know the reason behind those fishes.

Now, the black stones relates to the black girl who came out through the Kitchen walls of the King. It also relates to the black man who came out through the walls of the kitchen and they both spoke to the fishes. Since those two people are black, it means that they have something to do with the black stones palace. Also, the King heard the voice of someone. What if it was the voice of the black slim girl?

This is getting more interesting!!!

Indeed, the king has done well.
As a king, he is meant to know the historical background behind everything in the kingdom he governs and then setting out to know the history behind the lake was just the very perfect thing he should do.

*Am sad he didn't get to see anyone though*

I am very very much curious to know the reason behindIndeed, the king has done well.

I am very very much curious to know the reason behind not only the colours of the fishes but also the number of fishes chosen *(I hope to see them in the coming Series)*

There are many things left unfold in this story and I'll leave the questions of my mind as I anticipate the next episode

***Oh! Talk of suspense***

There is a new twist in the story, I personally liked this King so much that he thought of leading all things from the front. A real king means that he should do everything himself instead of giving orders to the slaves.

And as for the black woman in the story and the colored fish this is all about to Efreet, he has done all this on purpose but what I don't understand is that he promised the fisherman that he would not harm him, so why is he doing all this to him?

Is the end of all this going to be positive? Is there going to be something in the hands of the King that will make the king very happy and give the fisherman a huge reward? Because if it does, Efreet's promise will be fulfilled, and if it doesn't, he will turn out to be a deceitful.

But the most fun thing to read will be when you find out what the black-clothed thing that burst through the wall was when the fish were being cooked and then the story that begins about the colorful fish and the black thing will be the most fun.

Finally, the Scheherazade had to be praised for the way she told the story, if anyone had been in the place of the king, he would not have had the heart to kill her until the story was over.

I am now waiting for the part of the story when the story of the fish and the black thing unfolds before the king and to see what the king does with the fisherman.....
